The Northwest Samar State University ROTC Unit successfully conducted its ROTC Orientation on 16 August 2026 1600H, marking the beginning of academic year 2026-2027 of training, discipline, leadership, and service.
The activity was graced by COL LUZELITO Q. BETINOL GSC (INF) PA, Director, 803rd Community Defense Center, who served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker and shared his message and guidance with the ROTC Officers and Cadets.
The successful conduct of the orientation was made possible through the presence and support of RAYMUNDO CAÑIZARES, MPM, NSTP Director; 2LT ZALDY DIAZ PA (RES), Assistant Commandant; SSG JOHN MARK V FABRA (AGS) PA, Tactical NCO; PEPITO QUIÑONEZ, ROTC Coordinator; and C/LTC LAVENIA GALECIO, 1CL, Corps Commander, together with the Training Staff and all ROTC Officers of the Unit.
The program included the discussion of Rules and Regulations, Presentation of the Training Staff and Corps and Staff, Turnover of Responsibility, and Pinning of Ranks for the 1CL and 2CL Officers, signifying the beginning of a new chapter of leadership and greater responsibility within the Unit.
