While we didn't bring home the Tandaya Festival King and Queen titles this year, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude and immense pride. Winning is a bonus, but representing the soul of Calbiga is the ultimate honor.

We brought the vibrant spirit, rich heritage, and rhythmic heartbeats of our beloved Pahoy-pahoy Festival to the big stage, showing everyone the beauty of our traditions and the resilience of our people.

Guided by the unwavering light of our patroness, Nuestra Señora de la Anunciación, Calbiga will continue to dance, shine, and share its culture with the world.

To all the winners, a huge congratulations! Let’s all keep showing the world the true splendor of Samarnon culture. At the end of the day, beyond the competition, we are one identity, one people, and ONE SAMAR!

A Gentle Update to Our Beloved Calbiganons

Pageantry in Samar is never complete without the grace of Calbiga, but this year, owing to time constraints and candidate availability, we will not be sending an official representative for Mutya Han Samar 2026.

While we won't be on the pageant stage this year, our heart and support remain strong for the Samar festival spirit!

We take pride in every young woman who carries our town’s name, and we want to ensure our representative is given the full support, time, and preparation she truly deserves. Mark your calendars next year, Calbiga will take center stage once again to reclaim our legacy as the home of true elegance and beauty!

While we prepare for our grand comeback next season, we want to know your thoughts!

Our official representatives across the various festival competitions have officially been locked in. While we're keeping their identities under wraps for now to build up the excitement, one thing is for sure—𝘾𝙖𝙡𝙗𝙞𝙜𝙖 𝙞𝙨 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜!

Calling all Calbiganon youths aged 14–18 years old!

Showcase your musical talent and your love for the environment by joining the Kalikasan Jingle Making Contest!

📌 Contest Mechanics

1. Registration: July 6–10, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at MENRO Ofice or Look for Ma'am Aleth Caveiro for CNHS participants.
2. Final Orientation: July 11, 2026, at 10:00 AM @ Municipal Building-MENR Office.
3. Contest is open to groups of three (3) members.
4. Submit your jingle video on or before July 18, 2026, at 5:00 PM via MENRO Calbiga page or email it to [email protected].
5. The jingle must be:
- Written in Waray
- An original composition with an original melody
6. Duration must be 30 seconds minimum and 1 minute maximum.
7. Pre-judging: July 19, 2026.
8. Announcement of qualified finalists: July 20, 2026.
9. Qualified participants will compete in the Live Presentation on August 1, 2026.

🏆 Prizes

🥇 1st Prize: ₱4,000 + Certificate
🥈 2nd Prize: ₱3,000 + Certificate
🥉 3rd Prize: ₱2,000 + Certificate
🎖️ Consolation Prize: ₱1,500
