The Barangay Local Government Unit of Semirara is pleased to announce the official public posting of applicants for the BLGU Semirara Scholarship Program.

The BLGU Semirara Scholarship Program is one of the flagship educational initiatives of the barangay aimed at empowering the youth through accessible and quality education. 1. Open Facebook on your device. Search for the official "Barangay Semirara" page. Ensure you are on the verified page.
2. Navigate to the posts or announcements section of the Barangay Semirara page. Look for the post regarding "Barangay Semirara Scholarships." Click on the link provided in the post to proceed to the application.
3. Click the link to access the form. Fill in the required information accurately, ensuring all fields are completed correctly. Submit the form once you have reviewed all your entries.
4. Download the HTML file from the link provided in the scholarship post. Once downloaded, use Google Chrome or any available browser on your device to open the file and access the application form.
5. Tap on the form to open the interactive fields.
6. Fill in all the necessary information required, including your Personal Information, Home Address, and Current School Information.
7. Ensure all details are accurate before proceeding to download or print the document.
8. Once you have completed the HTML form, you can either download it as a PDF or print it directly. Make sure to keep a copy for your personal records.

𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘆 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 “𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺”

Kap. Kikai Lim together with the Barangay Kagawads warmly welcomed Mam Gemma Hicayen, DSWD Walang Gutom Program In-Charge, during her courtesy call to the BLGU Semirara Officials.

The second month of assistance distribution under the “Walang Gutom Program” was conducted for the beneficiaries of the Municipal Government of Caluya through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development (MSWD) Office.

The list of beneficiaries was based on the DSWD survey conducted in 2019.

The BLGU Semirara continues to help facilitate and coordinate to ensure the proper delivery of DSWD services to the beneficiaries.

Under the program, beneficiaries receive ₱3,000 monthly food credits through an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card, which can be used to purchase basic food supplies and other essential needs.

Though no medals were brought home from the 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐚 2026, your journey and achievements already made history for Municipality of Caluya especially to Barangay Semirara.

𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐞 𝐀. 𝐉𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐳, our FIRST 𝐓𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐚 swimmer-athlete to qualify for the national stage, and 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐍. 𝐌𝐞𝐣𝐨𝐬 of Lawn Tennis, both showcased determination, discipline, and the true fighting spirit of a proud Semiraranhon athlete and Divinians from DWSSII.

Your participation alone inspired the youth of Semirara and The whole Municipality of Caluya and the rest of Province of Antique to dream bigger, work harder, and believe that athletes from our island can compete among the best in the country. Medals may not define success, because the pride, honor, and inspiration you brought to our community are victories already worth celebrating.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the coaches Coach Avelynn May Clemente Eguia and Coach John Rian Donio, trainers, and supporters behind this incredible journey. Your patience, guidance, and dedication continue to shape and inspire our young athletes to reach greater heights.

Barangay Local Government Unit of Semirara (BLGU-Semirara), headed by Kap Kikai Lim, together with Barangay Kagawads Hon. Jimmy M. Aranda, Hon. Rhea Marie G. Lim, Hon. Rosie G. Calinog, Hon. Maritess Z. Delos Santos, Hon. Uldiolyn G. Jalique, Hon. Lucio V. Roldan, and Hon. Ernesto E. Sotic, warmly welcomed the Provincial National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) headed by 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐲. 𝐀𝐫𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐳, together with Annalyn D. Gorriceta, Administrative Aide VI, and Maria Paz Lotilla, NBI Job Order personnel, during their courtesy visit in the barangay.

As part of the continued partnership and support of the Barangay Local Government Unit of Semirara (BLGU-Semirara) to government agencies, five (5) sets of computer units were formally turned over to the Provincial NBI Office to help strengthen their operations and public service.

This activity symbolizes the continued unity and cooperation between Barangay Semirara and our law enforcement partners in strengthening peace and order, enhancing public service, and supporting the welfare of the community.

Our Barangay Semirara Scholar, 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐲𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐁. 𝐋𝐚𝐫𝐚, graduate of Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering at John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University, together with his father, Sir Rey Lara, personally visited my office to express their heartfelt gratitude for the assistance and support extended by Barangay Semirara through our Scholarship Program.

Isa itong patunay na ang edukasyon ay isang mahalagang susi tungo sa magandang kinabukasan. Patuloy na susuportahan ng Barangay Semirara ang ating mga Kabataang Semiraranhon na nangangarap at nagsusumikap upang maabot ang kanilang mga pangarap sa buhay.
