Successful Conduct of 3-Day Entrepreneurial Development Training (EDT) Seminar in Camalaniugan, Cagayan

A successful 3-day Entrepreneurial Development Training (EDT) Seminar was officially concluded today with sixty (60) trainees of RL Gario Training Center held at Agusi, Camalaniugan, Cagayan. The activity formed part of the completion requirements of the trainees enrolled in Heavy Equipment Operations courses such as Forklift, Hydraulic Excavator, and Wheel Loader NC II under TESDA.

The seminar commenced on May 15, 2026, continued on May 18, 2026, and was successfully concluded today, May 19, 2026. The Entrepreneurial Development Trainings focused on key topics including Financial Literacy, How to Start a Business, and Simple Bookkeeping. These learning sessions aimed to equip the trainees with fundamental entrepreneurial knowledge and practical financial management skills that may help them establish and manage their future livelihood or business ventures aligned with their technical competencies.

Through the EDTs, the trainees gained valuable insights on proper budgeting, savings, financial discipline, basic business planning, and simple record-keeping. These are essential skills in ensuring responsible financial management and sustainability of future income-generating activities.

The activity also highlighted the continuous commitment of Department of Trade and Industry in promoting entrepreneurship development among aspiring workers and future entrepreneurs in the community. By integrating entrepreneurial education alongside technical training, the program encourages trainees to become productive, financially responsible, and economically empowered individuals.

The training was facilitated by Rowena M. Talosig, Junior Business Counselor of Negosyo Center Camalaniugan, in support of strengthening entrepreneurship awareness and MSME development initiatives in the municipality.
