In line with the commitment of Provincial Governor Hon. Ralph Vincent Evardone to strengthen the quality of education across the province, a series of courtesy calls were conducted for the Provincial Paid Teachers (PPT) on July 16 and 17, 2026. This initiative involved visiting various schools across all barangays in Can-avid, spanning the upstream areas, coastline communities, and the Poblacion.

The primary objective of these visits was to formally introduce the PPTs to their respective school assignments. This effort was led by the Provincial Governor’s Satellite Office Municipal Coordinator, Mr. Jess Anthony Latoja, alongside his dedicated staff. Through this personal outreach, the schools were clearly informed about the specific functions and roles that the PPTs will fulfill within their institutions.

Beyond the introductions, the team utilized these visits to actively monitor each school and address any concerns or queries regarding the PPT program. By maintaining open lines of communication, the provincial government ensures that both the teachers and the school administrators are well-supported as they work together to improve student learning outcomes.

This program serves as a testament to the vision of the Governor, whose administration continues to prioritize the needs of our local educators and students. These collaborative efforts are essential in ensuring that the program remains responsive and effective in every classroom.

The success of these visits is also attributed to the continued support and cooperation of Municipal Mayor Hon. Mayor Alicia Teves. 𝗡𝗢𝗪 𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚: The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing for the "𝗕𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘁 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺" under the Socio-Civic Projects Fund of the Province of Eastern Samar is currently underway at the Municipal Conference Hall. The proceedings began promptly at 1:00 PM today, Friday. The MOA signing is attended by different barangay chairmen and chairwomen of every barangay in Can-avid.

This significant initiative is being implemented through the leadership of Mr. Bryan Arago, the Barangay Affairs Head and PESO Manager of the Provincial Government of Eastern Samar. The program is a clear demonstration of the commitment of Provincial Governor Hon. Ralph Vincent Evardone to bring development and essential services closer to every community.

The successful organization of the signing ceremony was facilitated by the Municipal Coordinator of Can-avid, Mr. Jess Anthony Latoja, along with his dedicated staff, who ensured that the event is being conducted in an orderly and efficient manner.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦: The Bulig Para Estudyante (BPE) payout for scholars from the municipalities of Can-avid and Arteche was successfully conducted last July 3, 2026, at the ESSU Can-avid Social Hall. This program is a vital initiative of Provincial Governor Hon. Ralph Vincent Evardone, designed to provide educational assistance and support to deserving students across the province.

The activity was spearheaded by Mr. 𝗡𝗶ñ𝗼 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗯𝗼𝗻 𝗢𝗴𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗿, together with the Municipal Coordinator of Can-avid, Mr. Jess Anthony Latoja. As the Municipal Coordinator for the host municipality, Mr. Latoja, alongside his staff, led the preparation and organization of the venue to ensure the smooth and orderly release of the financial assistance to all the scholars in attendance.

The continuous support provided by the Provincial Government and the local leadership is instrumental in making this program responsive to the academic and financial needs of the students. BRINGING SERVICE CLOSER: HOUSE-TO-HOUSE DISTRIBUTION OF MEDICAL AND BURIAL ASSISTANCE

In a continuous effort to bring provincial services directly to those who need them most, the staff from the Provincial Governor’s Satellite Office of Can-avid, alongside the dedicated Kapitolyo ha Barangay (KHB) volunteers, conducted a house-to-house distribution of approved financial assistance today. This activity was headed by Municipal Coordinator of Can-avid Sir Jess Anthony Latoja .

This initiative reached residents across the municipality who requested aid for their medical and burial expenses. By delivering the cheques directly to their homes, the team aims to ease the burden on our fellow citizens, saving them from the time and cost of traveling to the provincial office.

This outreach program is part of the ongoing commitment of Governor Hon. Ralph Vincent Evardone to ensure that government support reaches every corner of Eastern Samar. His administration remains focused on providing prompt and compassionate service to every family in need.

The success of this house-to-house delivery was made possible through the coordinated efforts of the Satellite Office team and the KHB volunteers, who continue to work tirelessly to serve the people of Can-avid.

ORIENTATION AND CONTRACT SIGNING: PROVINCIAL PAID TEACHERS (PPT)

Teachers in Can-avid took a meaningful step forward today as the orientation and contract signing for the Provincial Paid Teachers (PPT) program took place at the ESSU Can-avid Gymnasium. The event started right at 9:00 AM, bringing together our dedicated educators who are ready to serve the students of our community.

This program is a special project under the leadership of Governor Hon. Ralph Vincent Evardone. It serves as a testament to his vision of uplifting our education sector and ensuring that our teachers are well-supported as they fulfill their important roles in our schools.

During the session, Program Head of the Provincial Government Sir 𝗘𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗲 𝗔. 𝗔𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗼 and PPT Coordinator Miss Jean Abrilla Abanto walked everyone through the program guidelines and contract details. Their guidance helped our teachers gain a better understanding of their responsibilities and the professional path that lies ahead.

The smooth flow of the event was made possible through the hard work of Municipal Coordinator of Can-avid Sir Jess Anthony Latoja and his staff. They took care of everything from the venue preparations to the logistics, making sure that every teacher had a comfortable and organized experience throughout the day.

The orientation meeting for the Isang Propesyonal, Isang Pamilya Program (IPIPP) was held at the ESSU Can-avid Gymnasium to formally welcome scholars from the municipalities of Can-avid, Maslog, Taft, Sulat, San Policarpo, Dolores, and Oras. This initiative, championed by Governor Hon. Ralph Vincent Evardone, aims to provide educational support to deserving students across the province.

During the event, Program Head of the Provincial Government Sir 𝗘𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗲 𝗔. 𝗔𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗼 provided a comprehensive briefing on the program’s guidelines, core expectations, and official policies to ensure all scholars understand their responsibilities.

The successful coordination of the venue and event logistics was managed by Municipal Coordinator of Can-avid Sir Jess Anthony Latoja alongside the staff of the Provincial Governor’s Satellite Office.

𝗜𝗣𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗣𝗔𝗕𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗗: Mainit na pagbati at pasasalamat ang ating ipinapaabot sa Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Eastern Samar sa pangunguna ni Governor Hon. Ralph Vincent Evardone.

Sa kinatawan ni Vice Governor Hon. Vice Governor Maricar Sison Goteesan, bilang Acting Governor, kasama ang mga miyembro ng Sangguniang Panlalawigan (Board Members), matagumpay na naipamahagi ang Financial Assistance para sa iba't ibang barangay sa ating lalawigan.

Kabilang sa mga nakatanggap ng mahalagang tulong na ito ang Barangay Balagon, Can-avid na nagkakahalaga ng ₱𝟯𝟬𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 para sa konstruksyon ng kanilang Retaining Wall.

Ang pondong ito ay malaking tulong upang masiguro ang kaligtasan ng ating mga kababayan at maprotektahan ang mga imprastraktura sa komunidad laban sa pagguho ng lupa o baha.

Sa pakikipagtulungan ng ating lokal na pamahalaan sa Can-avid, patuloy nating itataguyod ang mga programang tunay na kapaki-pakinabang para sa bawat barangay.

Ralph Vincent Evardone.

Ang mahalagang aktibidad na ito ay pinangunahan ni Mr. Jess Anthony Latoja, ang Municipal Coordinator ng Provincial Governor’s Office para sa Can-avid, kasama ang kanyang mga masisipag na staff.
