Rainy days may bring cooler weather, but they can also bring flooding, thunderstorms, slippery roads, and other unexpected hazards. A little preparation can go a long way in keeping ourselves and our loved ones safe.
Here are some simple reminders from the Library Services Office:
🏠 Stay indoors when possible during heavy rain or flooding.
🌦️ Monitor weather updates and advisories.
🎒 Keep an emergency kit ready.
☂️ Take extra care when going outside.
🔌 Unplug electrical appliances during thunderstorms or flooding.
🗑️ Keep your surroundings clean to help prevent clogged drainage and flooding.
💧 Drink safe and clean water.
📱 Keep your phone charged for emergency situations.
Small precautions can make a big difference. Let’s stay alert, prepared, and responsible this rainy season. 🌧️💙

| As weather conditions remain unfavorable, face-to-face classes remain suspended. Please be advised that classes and academic activities across all Pampanga State University campuses will be conducted through online synchronous learning on August 19 and 20, 2026.

However, students who are unable to attend their online classes due to the prevailing weather conditions are advised to notify their respective instructors. Their absence may be excused, subject to the instructor’s appropriate consideration of their individual circumstances.

| In view of the inclement weather conditions, face-to-face classes remain suspended. Please be advised that classes and academic activities across all Pampanga State University campuses will shift to online synchronous learning on August 18, 2026 (Tuesday).

However, students who are directly affected by the prevailing weather conditions and are unable to attend their online classes are advised to inform their respective instructors. They may be excused from attending, subject to appropriate consideration of their circumstances.

Meanwhile, pursuant to the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), government offices in several areas of Luzon, including the province of Pampanga, are directed to adopt appropriate alternative work arrangements.

Furthermore, in the event that local government units issue advisories for their respective localities, this advisory shall be superseded by such local advisories.
