On August 03, 2026, the Station Commander of CGS Pampanga paid a courtesy call on the Municipal Mayor of Sasmuan, Hon. Catalina M. Cabrera, at the Sasmuan Municipal Hall as part of its continuing efforts to reinforce the longstanding partnership with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Sasmuan.

The courtesy call strengthened the partnership between CGS Pampanga and the Municipality of Sasmuan in advancing initiatives on maritime safety and security, disaster preparedness and response, environmental protection, law enforcement, and community resilience.

During the meeting, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to sustained coordination, information sharing, and collaborative programs to ensure the effective delivery of public service. The Municipal Mayor of Sasmuan expressed the Local Government Unit's continued support for the PCG's mission in safeguarding lives and property, protecting the marine environment, and promoting public safety.

Following the courtesy call, the Station Commander of CGS Pampanga together with representatives of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Sasmuan, conducted an ocular inspection and area monitoring on the proposed new Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Sasmuan Building located in Brgy. San Antonio, Sasmuan, Pampanga. The facility was granted by the LGU for the exclusive use of CGS Pampanga personnel to assessed and support its future operationalization and further strengthen the PCG's operational presence within the municipality.

Further, this activity also forms part of the Philippine Coast Guard's ICARE (Intensified Community Assistance, Awareness, Response, and Enforcement) Program, which strengthens partnerships with local stakeholders in support of the Coast Guard's mandate.

On July 22, 2026, Coast Guard Station (CGS) Pampanga was conferred a Certificate of Appreciation by the Municipal Government of San Simon, Pampanga, in recognition of its exemplary assistance, dedicated service, and unwavering commitment in support of the municipality's disaster response and rescue operations, as well as various official municipal activities and public service activities.

The Certificate of Appreciation was presented by Hon. Josephine Anne D. Canlas, Acting Municipal Mayor of San Simon, Pampanga, in recognition of CGS Pampanga significant contributions to the municipality's emergency preparedness and response efforts through the rapid deployment of its personnel, technical expertise in maritime and rescue operations, and effective coordination with the San Simon Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (SDRRMO).

Further, the recognition likewise reflects the Philippine Coast Guard's commitment to the ICARE (Intensified Community Assistance, Awareness, Response, and Enforcement) Program by strengthening partnerships with local government units and promoting responsive, people-centered public service.

On July 23 2026, In preparation for the anticipated impact of the upcoming typhoons and in support of the Philippine Coast Guard's commitment to maintaining a highly capable and mission-ready workforce, Coast Guard Station (CGS) Pampanga conducted a Swimming Qualification Test and Basic Knot Tying Training for its personnel.

The activity was conducted to assess and enhance the swimming proficiency and water survival capability of CGS Pampanga personnel through Swimming Qualification Test (SQT) and Basic Knot Tying Training to strengthen their competence in maritime safety, search and rescue (SAR), law enforcement, and disaster response operations to ensure operational readiness during periods of weather disturbances and emergencies.

In line with this, the conduct of capability enhancement activity forms part of this Station's continuing efforts to maintain of its operational preparedness and response capability in anticipation of the typhoon season.

Further, this Station ensures that its personnel remain physically fit, technically proficient, and fully prepared to effectively respond to maritime incidents, search and rescue operations, and disaster-related emergencies within its Area of Responsibility (AOR).

On 24 July 2026, Coast Guard Station (CGS) Pampanga through Coast Guard Sub-Station Masantol participated in the distribution of 1,000 Family Food Packs to residents of Pabahay, Masantol, Pampanga, who were affected by Typhoon "Inday."

The activity was spearheaded by Municipal Mayor Hon. Danilo S. Guintu and facilitated by the Municipal Social Welfare and Development (MSWD) Office under the leadership of MSWD Head Mary Rose Silva. The distribution was conducted at the Pabahay Covered Court, Masantol, Pampanga, as part of the Municipal Government's continuing efforts to provide immediate relief and assistance to families affected by the typhoon.

CGS Pampanga remains steadfast in supporting humanitarian assistance and disaster response initiatives through close coordination with the Local Government Unit and partner agencies, ensuring the timely delivery of essential aid to affected communities. On July 13, 2026, Coast Guard Station (CGS) Pampanga received a Certificate of Commendation from Hon. Oscar B. Tetangco, Municipal Mayor of Apalit, Pampanga, in recognition of its exemplary support and significant contribution to the successful conduct of the Apalit Town Fiesta Fluvial Procession held from June 28 to 30, 2026.

The commendation recognized the professionalism, dedication, and unwavering commitment demonstrated by CGS Pampanga personnel in ensuring the safety, security, and orderly conduct of the three-day religious and cultural celebration. Through the effective implementation of maritime safety and security measures, strategic coordination with the Local Government Unit of Apalit and partner agencies, and the deployment of personnel and operational assets, CGS Pampanga played a vital role in the successful ex*****on of the annual fluvial procession, which concluded with zero recorded casualties.

On 09 July 2026, the Station Commander of Coast Guard Station (CGS) Pampanga participated in a coordination meeting led by Hon. Congresswoman Anna York Bondoc, Pampanga Fourth District Representative, together with Hon. Johnny A. Sambo, Municipal Mayor of the Municipality of Santo Tomas, Pampanga, Ms. Shelby A. Ruiz, Officer-in-Charge of the Office of Civil Defense Regional Office III (OCD III), and other concerned stakeholders.

The meeting served as a venue to strengthen coordination and collaboration between the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and the Local Government Units (LGUs) in advancing disaster preparedness and response, public safety, maritime security, and maritime safety initiatives within the Province of Pampanga.

During the discussion, CGS Pampanga likewise presented its intention to relocate its existing Provincial Office from Candaba, Pampanga to a more strategic location to enhance operational readiness, improve accessibility to partner stakeholders, and ensure a more responsive delivery of maritime safety, security, and emergency response services throughout its area of responsibility.

The Station Commander of CGS Pampanga also paid a courtesy call to Hon. Honorato M. Almario, Municipal Vice Mayor of the Municipality of San Simon, Pampanga.

Further, the activity was conducted under the PCG Intensified Community Assistance, Awareness, Response, and Enforcement (ICARE) Program, which promotes stronger collaboration with local government partners and stakeholders through proactive community engagement, coordinated response efforts, and enhanced operational cooperation in support of safer and more resilient communities.

In view of the heightened threat posed by Super Typhoon Coast Guard Station (CGS) Pampanga has intensified its preparedness measures to ensure the safety and security of coastal communities, the maritime sector, and the general public within its Area of Responsibility (AOR).

As part of its proactive disaster preparedness efforts, CGS Pampanga conducted information dissemination activities under the campaign "Paalala sa mga Mangingisda sa Panahon ng Bagyo at Tag-ulan," providing timely safety advisories to fishermen, boat operators, coastal residents, and other maritime stakeholders. The Station likewise actively participated in Pre-Disaster Risk Assessment (PDRA) meetings and strengthened coordination with Local Government Units (LGUs), Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices (MDRRMOs), and other concerned agencies to harmonize preparedness initiatives, contingency planning, and emergency response operations.

To further enhance operational readiness, Deployable Response Groups (DRGs) have been placed on heightened alert status, while continuous monitoring of coastal communities, navigable waterways, and other critical maritime areas within the AOR is being maintained to ensure the immediate and effective response to any maritime emergency or incident.

Through the PCG ICARE (Intensified Community Assistance, Awareness, Response, and Enforcement) Program, CGS Pampanga remains steadfast in its commitment to safeguarding lives and property, strengthening community resilience, and ensuring maritime safety and security amid the threat of Super Typhoon .
