On August 03, 2026, the Station Commander of CGS Pampanga paid a courtesy call on the Municipal Mayor of Sasmuan, Hon. Catalina M. Cabrera, at the Sasmuan Municipal Hall as part of its continuing efforts to reinforce the longstanding partnership with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Sasmuan.
The courtesy call strengthened the partnership between CGS Pampanga and the Municipality of Sasmuan in advancing initiatives on maritime safety and security, disaster preparedness and response, environmental protection, law enforcement, and community resilience.
During the meeting, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to sustained coordination, information sharing, and collaborative programs to ensure the effective delivery of public service. The Municipal Mayor of Sasmuan expressed the Local Government Unit's continued support for the PCG's mission in safeguarding lives and property, protecting the marine environment, and promoting public safety.
Following the courtesy call, the Station Commander of CGS Pampanga together with representatives of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Sasmuan, conducted an ocular inspection and area monitoring on the proposed new Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Sasmuan Building located in Brgy. San Antonio, Sasmuan, Pampanga. The facility was granted by the LGU for the exclusive use of CGS Pampanga personnel to assessed and support its future operationalization and further strengthen the PCG's operational presence within the municipality.
Further, this activity also forms part of the Philippine Coast Guard's ICARE (Intensified Community Assistance, Awareness, Response, and Enforcement) Program, which strengthens partnerships with local stakeholders in support of the Coast Guard's mandate.
