𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: Coast Guard Station Eastern Bohol personnel conducted a Coastal Clean-Up Activity along the shoreline of Brgy. Bacong, Anda, Bohol today, 01 September 2026, in response to the accumulation of marine debris and other wastes brought by the prevailing Habagat (Southwest Monsoon).

The activity aims to help restore the cleanliness and beauty of the coastal environment while preventing accumulated wastes from being carried back into the sea.

Through sustained initiatives such as coastal clean-ups, the Coast Guard Station Eastern Bohol, continues to uphold its mandate of protecting the marine environment for the benefit of present and future generations.

𝐈𝐂𝐘𝐌𝐈: Personnel of Coast Guard Station Eastern Bohol took part in the two-day Search and Rescue Optimal Planning System (SAROPS) Training conducted on 06 and 07 August 2026 at CGSEBHL Building, Cogtong, Candijay, Bohol.

The training provided participants with an opportunity to further develop their technical knowledge and practical skills in the application of SAROPS in maritime search and rescue operations. Through a combination of lectures, system demonstrations, and practical exercises, the participants gained enhanced understanding of search planning, drift analysis, and the development of more accurate and efficient search patterns for maritime emergencies.

The participation of CGS Eastern Bohol personnel demonstrates the Philippine Coast Guard’s continuous efforts to enhance the competence, preparedness, and operational effectiveness of its personnel through the integration of modern technologies and systems. The knowledge and skills gained from the training will contribute to more precise planning, improved coordination, and faster decision-making during search and rescue missions, ultimately strengthening the Station’s capability to respond effectively to maritime incidents and safeguard lives within its Area of Responsibility.

Coast Guard Station Eastern Bohol proudly commemorated its 7th Founding Anniversary on 24 August 2026 at Lenny’s Function Hall, Bunga-Mar, Jagna, Bohol, carrying the theme: “CGSEBHL @ 7: Celebrating a Legacy of Service, Resilience and Maritime Excellence.”

The celebration was graced by RADM AGAPITO B BIBAT, Commander, Coast Guard District Central Visayas, whose presence highlighted the importance of CGSEBHL’s continued commitment to the Coast Guard’s mission and its vital role in advancing maritime safety and security in Eastern Bohol.

The anniversary marked seven years of dedicated and meaningful service, steadfast commitment, and unwavering dedication to the Coast Guard’s mandate of ensuring maritime safety and security, maritime law enforcement, maritime environmental protection, and the welfare of the communities within its Area of Responsibility.

The occasion likewise served as an opportunity to recognize the invaluable support and cooperation of the Station’s Sub-Stations, OPCON Units, partner government agencies, local government units, maritime stakeholders, and the people of Bohol. Their continued partnership and collaboration remain instrumental in strengthening the collective efforts toward a safer, more secure, and resilient maritime community.

As CGS Eastern Bohol looks back on seven years of service, accomplishments, and challenges overcome, the celebration also provided an opportunity to reflect on the Station’s journey and reaffirm its commitment to excellence. Through the years, CGSEBHL has remained steadfast in fulfilling its mandate, responding to the evolving needs of the maritime community, and strengthening partnerships with various stakeholders.

With service, resilience, and maritime excellence as its guiding principles, CGS Eastern Bohol remains committed to serving with honor, protecting with courage, and responding with excellence in the fulfillment of its mission.

Moving forward, CGSEBHL reaffirms its commitment to strengthening operational readiness, fostering meaningful partnerships, and delivering responsive and reliable maritime services for the people of Bohol and the maritime community.

𝐈𝐂𝐘𝐌𝐈: Coast Guard Station Eastern Bohol, together with its Sub-Stations and OPCON Unit personnel, successfully conducted a two-day Sportsfest on 13–14 August 2026 at Cogtong Gymnasium, Cogtong, Candijay, Bohol, as part of the pre-anniversary activities for the 7th Founding Anniversary of Coast Guard Station Eastern Bohol.

Four (4) teams came together to showcase their skills, determination, teamwork, and sportsmanship in basketball and pickleball.

Composed of personnel from CGSEBHL, CGSS Mabini, and CGSS PCPG

🥇 1st PLACER – YELLOW TEAM
Composed of personnel from CGSS Talibon, CGSS Ubay, and CGSS Bien Unido

Composed of personnel from CGSS Garcia Hernandez, CGSS Jagna, and CGSS Duero

🥉 3rd PLACER – BLUE TEAM
Composed of personnel from CGSS Guindulman, CGSS Anda, and CGSS Candijay

More than the competition and the pursuit of victory, the Sportsfest was a celebration of unity, camaraderie, teamwork, and esprit de corps. It provided an opportunity for personnel from different Sub-Stations and units to come together, strengthen relationships, boost morale, and create meaningful memories beyond the workplace.

As part of the celebration of the 7th Founding Anniversary of Coast Guard Station Eastern Bohol, CGS Eastern Bohol, together with its Sub-Stations and OPCON Unit personnel, conducted a Marksmanship Exercise featuring dry fire drills, speed drills, and target games on 11–12 August 2026 at the Regatta del Rio Shooting Range, Brgy. Las Salinas, Sur, Loay, Bohol.

The activity aims to enhance the personnel’s fi****ms proficiency, accuracy, discipline, coordination, and readiness, while promoting teamwork and camaraderie among personnel of CGS Eastern Bohol and its subordinate units.

This activity further underscores the commitment of the Coast Guard Station Eastern Bohol to maintaining a highly trained, disciplined, and operationally ready workforce in the performance of its mandate in service to the people of Bohol.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | 𝐂𝐆𝐒𝐒 𝐉𝐚𝐠𝐧𝐚 𝐒𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐅𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐬𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐌𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐚

The Coast Guard Station Eastern Bohol, through Coast Guard Sub-Station Jagna, successfully conducted a Search and Rescue (SAR) operation on 02 August 2026 following a report of a capsized motorbanca at the waters between the Municipalities of Jagna and Garcia Hernandez, Bohol.

Upon receipt of the report, the CGSS Jagna SAR Team immediately activated and coordinated with the Special Operations Unit–Eastern Bohol (SOU-EB) and Bantay Dagat personnel to conduct SAR operations. The SAR Team located the victim, Mr. Ronald Aclan, clinging to his half-submerged motorbanca at the vicinity waters between the Municipalities of Valencia and Garcia Hernandez, Bohol. Despite the rough sea conditions, the team successfully rescued and safely transported him back to Brgy. Bunga Mar Fish Port, Jagna, Bohol. He was found conscious, in stable condition, and with no visible injuries.

The successful rescue operation underscores the unwavering commitment of CGS Eastern Bohol to protecting lives at sea through prompt response, effective coordination, and dedicated public service. The Philippine Coast Guard remains steadfast in ensuring the safety and security of the maritime community.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: Coast Guard Station Eastern Bohol joined the District Master Chief Office – Central Visayas and the Philippine Coast Guard Pensioners and Retirees Association of Central Visayas, Inc. (PRACVI) in conducting a courtesy visit to retired Philippine Coast Guard personnel with medical conditions and surviving beneficiaries residing in various barangays in Anda, Bohol.

The activity was spearheaded by RADM JOSE WILLIAM U. ISAGA (Ret), President of PRACVI, with the full support of the Commander, Coast Guard District Central Visayas, RADM AGAPITO B BIBAT PCG. The visit served as a meaningful expression of gratitude and recognition for the invaluable service and sacrifices of our retired Coast Guardsmen, while also extending care and support to their families.

CGS Eastern Bohol is honored to take part in this initiative, reaffirming the Philippine Coast Guard's commitment to ensuring that our retirees and their surviving beneficiaries remain remembered, valued, and appreciated.
