The Abadaya Fisherfolks and Farmers MPC, Metro Parioc MPC, and Metro San Agustin ARC have successfully passed accreditation as Civil Society Organization (CSO) Implementers by the Department of Agriculture.
This accreditation opens doors for these cooperatives to access vital programs and services from the Agriculture Departmentโpaving the way for growth, development, and greater benefits for their farmer-members.
With the technical assistance provided by the Candon City Cooperative Development Office (CCDO) under the leadership of Ms Grace Llanes Ramos, cooperatives in Candon have found it easier to prepare the necessary documentary requirements for accreditation.
Special thanks to Maโam Mila Guerrero Dela Rosa of DA Region 1 for her assistance.
To date, more than ten cooperatives in the city have been accredited by the Department of Agriculture. Many of them have already received interventions such as the INSPIRE Program and Kadiwa ni Ani at Kita, strengthening their capacity to serve their members and communities.
These achievements stand as proof of the solid support extended by the city government under the visionary leadership of City Mayor Eric D. Singson and Vice Mayor Atty. Kristelle Singson , who continue to champion cooperative development and agricultural empowerment in Candon.
