📍Lecture on GAD Laws, Morning Meeting, LEAP Orientation, and Drug Testing of Clients
The Canlaon City Parole and Probation Office, headed by SPPO Edgar Alan Papas, together with its dedicated staff and Volunteer Probation Assistants (VPAs), successfully conducted a Lecture on Gender and Development (GAD) Laws, Morning Meeting Activity, LEAP Orientation, and Drug Testing of Clients on May 6, 2026, at Brgy. Don E. Villegas, Vallehermoso.
These activities aimed to enhance clients' awareness of gender-responsive laws, provide guidance through LEAP orientation, strengthen engagement through the morning meeting, and promote accountability and a drug-free lifestyle through drug testing. Such initiatives reflect the office's continued commitment to the rehabilitation, development, and successful reintegration of its clients into the community.
The Canlaon City PPO also extends its sincere gratitude to the officials and residents of Brgy. Don E. Villegas, Vallehermoso for the free use of their venue and for their warm support and cooperation, which greatly contributed to the success of this activity.

📍Livelihood Education Access Program (LEAP) Training for Clients

The Canlaon City Parole and Probation Office, headed by SPPO Edgar Alan Papas, successfully conducted a Livelihood Education Access Program (LEAP) Training for its clients on May 20 & 21, 2026, at the St. Joseph Parish Convention Hall, Canlaon City.

The activity was facilitated with the support of the office staff and Volunteer Probation Assistants (VPAs), namely Mercy Molina, Analona Pasillos, and Whenzelyn Molina. The training aimed to equip clients with valuable knowledge and opportunities that can help improve their employability, livelihood prospects, and overall reintegration into the community.
The Canlaon City PPO extends its sincerest gratitude to Ma’am Emelia Demafelis, PESO Manager of PESO Canlaon, for serving as the guest speaker and for sharing her expertise, insights, and encouragement that inspired the participants to pursue productive and sustainable livelihood opportunities.

We also express our heartfelt appreciation to St. Joseph Parish for the free use of the Convention Hall, which provided a conducive venue for the successful conduct of the activity. Likewise, our sincere thanks go to the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Canlaon City for generously providing the full meals and snacks for all participants.

Through the collective support of our partners and stakeholders, we continue to empower our clients with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities needed to become productive and responsible members of society.

In support of the Department of Education's Brigada Eskwela 2026, the Canlaon City Parole and Probation Office, headed by SPPO Edgar Alan Papas, together with its staff and Volunteer Probation Assistants (VPAs), actively participated in the activity held at Macario Española Memorial School on June 02, 2026.

Through this meaningful initiative, the office joined hands with the school and the community in preparing a safe, clean, and conducive learning environment for learners as they begin another academic year. This participation reflects the commitment of Canlaon City PPO to community service, volunteerism, and nation-building.

The Canlaon City PPO also extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Canlaon City for generously providing the full meals and snacks, which greatly contributed to the success of the activity and the welfare of all participants.
