The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office of Cantilan successfully concluded the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Training participated in by representatives from various municipal departments and uniformed personnel.

The activity aimed to strengthen coordination, preparedness, and emergency response mechanisms in ensuring a more effective and organized disaster management system for the Municipality of Cantilan.

The training was honored by the presence and support of Municipal Mayor Hon. Philip A. Pichay, together with Hon. Genito B. Guardo, Sangguniang Bayan Member and Hon. Lorna G. Almeda, Sangguniang Bayan Member.

Their continued support highlights the Municipality’s commitment to enhancing disaster resilience, inter-agency coordination, and public safety for the people of Cantilan.

The MDRRMO extends its gratitude to all participants, facilitators, and partner offices who contributed to the success of the training.

Effective May 18, 2026, the Municipality of Cantilan will continue the implementation of the 𝟒-𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 pursuant to Memorandum Order No. 55, Series of 2026.

🗓️ Monday to Thursday
⏰ 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Basic and emergency service offices (MHO, MDRRMO, MSWDO, MENRO-Garbage Collectors, and GSO) shall remain on their regular Monday–Friday schedule (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM).

𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲-𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Cantilan successfully conducted the Standard First Aid with Basic Life Support Training for representatives from the 17 barangays of the municipality.

This vital training aimed to enhance the capacity of our barangay responders in delivering immediate and appropriate assistance during emergencies, ultimately strengthening our community’s preparedness and resilience.

The activity was honored by the presence of our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Philip A. Pichay, along with Hon. Genito B. Guardo, Sangguniang Bayan Member and Chairperson of the Committee on Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, and Hon. Lorna G. Almeda, Sangguniang Bayan Member, whose support underscores the local government’s commitment to public safety and disaster readiness.

The training was spearheaded by the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer, Engr. Ale Boy U. Duero, together with MDRRMO personnel, in collaboration with the PDRRMO Surigao del Sur Training Team, ensuring that participants were equipped with essential knowledge and practical skills in life-saving interventions.

The MDRRMO personnel, led by Engr. Ale Boy U. Duero, successfully installed Evacuation Signages in the identified evacuation areas across various barangays. These locations were determined in coordination with barangay representatives during the recently conducted Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM) Training.

This activity forms part of the initiative of Hon. Philip A. Pichay, Municipal Mayor, in strengthening disaster preparedness and making our communities safer and more resilient.

Through this effort, residents can more easily identify safe and designated evacuation sites during emergencies and disasters—helping ensure a more organized and timely response when it matters most.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all barangay officials and participants for their active involvement and cooperation.

This meaningful observance honors the bravery, sacrifice, and unwavering patriotism of Filipino heroes who fought during the historic Fall of Bataan and throughout our nation’s struggle for freedom.

Through our presence, the MDRRMO stands in solidarity with the nation in remembering the courage of our forebears and reaffirming our commitment to public service, resilience, and preparedness in safeguarding our communities.
