𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃 | 𝐀𝐫𝐦𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐚𝐭 𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐌𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲 (𝐊𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐠) 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧

𝐂𝐀𝐌𝐏 𝐎’𝐃𝐎𝐍𝐍𝐄𝐋𝐋, 𝐒𝐭𝐚. 𝐋𝐮𝐜𝐢𝐚, 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐬, 𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐚𝐜 — Major General Ronel R. Manalo PA, Commander, Armor Division, Philippine Army, presided over the Change of Command Ceremony of the 4th Mechanized Infantry (Kalasag) Battalion on 25 September 2026 in Barangay Kapantaran, Marawi City, Lanao del Sur.

Lieutenant Colonel Rogelio N. Lopez PA formally assumed command of the unit, succeeding Lieutenant Colonel Eugene C. Flores PA. Prior to this assignment, Lieutenant Colonel Lopez served as Assistant Chief of Staff for Personnel, G1, of the Armor Division.

During the ceremony, Major General Manalo congratulated Lt. Col. Flores for his leadership and achievements and welcomed Lt. Col. Lopez, expressing confidence in his ability to lead the Kalasag Troops and continue the unit’s mission.

Addressing the troops, Major General Manalo highlighted his command philosophy of Respect, Relevance, and Mettle (RRM)—treating people with dignity, staying responsive to the needs of the community and stakeholders, and showing courage, competence, and strength in carrying out their duties.

The Change of Command Ceremony marks more than a transition of leadership — it stands as a renewed pledge of the Kalasag Battalion’s steadfast commitment to excellence, solidarity, and selfless service to the people of Lanao del Sur.

𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩 𝐎’𝐃𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐥𝐥, 𝐒𝐭𝐚. 𝐋𝐮𝐜𝐢𝐚, 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐬, 𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐚𝐜 — Major General Ronel R. Manalo PA, Commander of the Armor (Pambato) Division, Philippine Army, presided over the Change of Command Ceremony for the 2nd Cavalry (Masigasig) Battalion on 22 September 2026 at Camp Guillermo Nakar, Lucena City, Quezon Province.

Lieutenant Colonel Niel A. Dedicatoria PA officially assumed command, succeeding Lieutenant Colonel Leober V. Samudio Jr. PA, who successfully concluded his tenure as battalion commander. During the ceremony, the symbolic transfer of the battalion colors marked the official assumption of authority, responsibility, and accountability by Lt. Col. Dedicatoria over the unit.

In his remarks, Major General Manalo reaffirmed the Division’s command guidance: Respect, Relevance, and Mettle (RRM) — the core principles guiding the battalion in carrying out its mission. He emphasized that this change of command marks not only a leadership transition but also the continuity of the unit’s mandate and unwavering commitment to service.

He reminded the “Masigasig” Troopers that their performance directly reflects the standards of the Armor Division, especially as the battalion serves as the Division’s representative across the CALABARZON and MIMARO regions. He urged the troops to remain capable, responsive, and respectful in service to fellow soldiers and the communities they support.

Immediately following the ceremony, Major General Manalo led the blessing of the newly renovated Masigasig Battalion facilities. These improvements reflect the Armor Division’s enduring commitment to personnel welfare, while boosting morale, operational readiness, and mission effectiveness.

The Armor (Pambato) Division remains steadfast in its dedication to professional leadership, organizational readiness, and continued service to the Filipino people.
