SIGMA, CAPIZ | AUGUST 16, 2026 โ€” The ๐’๐š๐ง๐ ๐ ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐š๐ง๐  ๐Š๐š๐›๐š๐ญ๐š๐š๐ง ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐๐š๐ซ๐š๐ง๐ ๐š๐ฒ ๐๐จ๐›๐ฅ๐š๐œ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐’๐ฎ๐ซ, ๐’๐ข๐ ๐ฆ๐š, ๐‚๐š๐ฉ๐ข๐ณ successfully held the Awarding Ceremony for Bulan-Sang-Pamatan-on 2026: Hinampang and Cultural Activities on August 16, 2026, at the Sigma Civic Center, Poblacion Norte, Sigma, Capiz.

The ceremony served as a celebration of the dedication, sportsmanship, talents, and active participation of the youth throughout the various activities organized under Bulan sang Pamatan-on 2026. From sports competitions to cultural activities, young people were given opportunities to showcase their skills while building camaraderie, discipline, and teamwork.

The awarding ceremony recognized the outstanding teams, players, and participants who demonstrated commitment and excellence in their respective competitions. Beyond the medals and awards, the event highlighted the importance of youth participation and unity in creating meaningful activities for the community.

With the theme of โ€œPaghiliusa,โ€ the celebration reflected the continuing commitment of the Sangguniang Kabataan of Poblacion Sur to provide programs that empower young people and strengthen their role in the community. The successful culmination of the activities was made possible through the cooperation of the youth, organizers, volunteers, partners, and community stakeholders who supported the celebration.

Carrying the spirit of โ€œBag-ong Simula na May Pag-asa sa Bawat Isa,โ€ the activity highlighted the important role of the youth in maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy community. Participants worked together to remove scattered waste and clear areas that needed attention, demonstrating that meaningful change can begin through simple acts of volunteerism.

Beyond cleaning the surroundings, the activity served as a learning operation, allowing participating youth to develop greater awareness of proper waste management, environmental stewardship, discipline, and cooperation. The initiative also strengthened camaraderie among the participants as they worked toward a shared goal.

Through this activity, the SK Poblacion Sur continues to encourage the youth to become active partners in community development. The Clean-Up Drive and Clearing Operation stands as a reminder that a cleaner community begins with responsible individuals, and a better tomorrow begins with young people willing to take action today.

Talon, Ivisan, Capiz, bringing young leaders and members together for a day focused on teamwork, leadership, communication, and camaraderie.

The activity aimed to strengthen the relationship among PSYA members while developing essential leadership values and skills. Through various team-building activities, participants were challenged to communicate effectively, work together, trust one another, and contribute their individual strengths toward achieving common goals. The activities provided an avenue for the youth to learn that effective leadership is not only about leading others but also about listening, cooperating, and taking responsibility.

Beyond the fun and excitement, the leadership formation component emphasized the importance of responsible and service-oriented youth leadership. Participants were encouraged to recognize their roles in the community and to develop attitudes that promote unity, discipline, respect, and active participation. The experience also highlighted how strong teamwork can help youth organizations become more organized and effective in implementing programs and activities for their fellow young people.

The PSYA Team Building and Leadership Formation served as more than just a recreational gathering. It became an opportunity for young people to connect, learn, and grow together as emerging community leaders. Through the spirit of unity and cooperation, PSYA continues to strengthen its commitment to building a youth organization where every member can participate, contribute, and help create a better community for all.

POBLACION SUR, SIGMA, CAPIZ โ€” The HINAMPANG 2026 successfully brought together young athletes, teams, organizations, and communities through a series of exciting and meaningful sporting competitions. Organized by the ๐’๐š๐ง๐ ๐ ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐š๐ง๐  ๐Š๐š๐›๐š๐ญ๐š๐š๐ง ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐๐š๐ซ๐š๐ง๐ ๐š๐ฒ ๐๐จ๐›๐ฅ๐š๐œ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐’๐ฎ๐ซ, ๐’๐ข๐ ๐ฆ๐š, ๐‚๐š๐ฉ๐ข๐ณ,, the event featured various competitions including Inter-Junior and Inter-Purok Basketball, Inter-Agency Basketball, Inter-Barangay Sepak Takraw, Inter-Barangay Mobile Legends, and Inter-Barangay Volleyball. Carrying the theme โ€œSportivity: One Game, One Community,โ€ the event highlighted the importance of sports in bringing people together.

Throughout the different competitions, participating teams showcased their talent, determination, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. Every game provided athletes with an opportunity to demonstrate their skills while representing their schools, agencies, puroks, barangays, and communities with pride. From the basketball court and volleyball floor to the Sepak Takraw court and esports arena, each competition created memorable moments and encouraged participants to give their best.

Beyond the competition, HINAMPANG 2026 became a celebration of unity, friendship, and community spirit. The support of families, friends, volunteers, officials, organizers, and spectators added excitement to every match and helped create an atmosphere of camaraderie. SIGMA, CAPIZ โ€” The PAGHILIUSA: Bulan sang Pamatan-on 2026 โ€“ Season II, an initiative of the Sangguniang Kabataan of Poblacion Sur, Sigma, Capiz, has been recognized as one of the Outstanding SK Projects for 2026, earning a Special Award in the 3rd Outstanding SK Project recognition.

The recognition highlights the successful implementation of PAGHILIUSA, a youth-centered program designed to provide meaningful opportunities for young people through sports, leadership, community participation, talent development, and various youth-oriented activities.

Throughout the celebration, the project brought together young people and community stakeholders in a series of activities that promoted unity, teamwork, leadership, discipline, and active youth participation. SIGMA, CAPIZ | August 16, 2026 โ€” The much-anticipated PAGHILIUSA: Bulan sang Pamatan-on 2026 โ€“ Season II will officially culminate this evening, August 16, at 8:00 PM at the Sigma Civic Center, Sigma, Capiz.

The Culmination Night will serve as the grand finale of a month-long celebration that brought together young people, community leaders, organizations, and residents through various programs, competitions, sports activities, and youth-centered initiatives.

Adding excitement to the evening, MIECA Sound will provide the music and entertainment, promising a lively atmosphere as the community gathers to celebrate the achievements and memorable moments of this year's celebration.

The event is open to everyone. Outsiders may enter for only โ‚ฑ30, making the celebration accessible to more members of the community who wish to join the festivities.

The ๐’๐š๐ง๐ ๐ ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐š๐ง๐  ๐Š๐š๐›๐š๐ญ๐š๐š๐ง ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐๐š๐ซ๐š๐ง๐ ๐š๐ฒ ๐๐จ๐›๐ฅ๐š๐œ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐’๐ฎ๐ซ, in partnership with the Municipality of Sigma and its valued community partners, is set to culminate PAGHILIUSA: Bulan sang Pamatan-on II 2026, a month-long celebration dedicated to empowering the youth through sports, leadership, wellness, creativity, and meaningful community engagement.

Carrying the theme โ€œYouth Empowerment Through Sports, Leadership, and Community Engagement,โ€ PAGHILIUSA brought together young people, community leaders, organizations, schools, athletes, and volunteers in a series of activities designed to promote unity, active participation, healthy living, and youth development.

Among the highlights of the celebration were the Nutrition Month activities, including the Zumba Wellness Contest, Family Cooking Show, Cosplay Contest, and Grow a Garden, which encouraged creativity, wellness, environmental awareness, and healthy community practices.

The celebration also featured HINAMPANG 2026, showcasing the competitive spirit and sportsmanship of the youth through the Inter-Purok Basketball League, Inter-Agency Basketball League, Inter-Junior Basketball League, Inter-Barangay Volleyball, Sepak Takraw Tournament, and Inter-Barangay Mobile Legends Tournament.

A major highlight of the culmination is the Hiyas sang Poblacion Sur, featuring the Miss Eco Fire, Miss Eco Water, Miss Eco Air, and Miss Eco Earth categories, celebrating creativity, environmental advocacy, confidence, and youth leadership.

The Grand Awarding Ceremony will be held on August 16, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the Sigma Civic Center, Sigma, Capiz.

The ceremony will be graced by Hon. Dante Rizal A. Eslabon, Municipal Mayor of Sigma, as Guest Speaker. Hon. Maria Shellane A. Palomar, Punong Barangay of Poblacion Sur, will deliver the Welcome Remarks, while Hon. Ramel B. Flores, Chairperson of the Sangguniang Kabataan of Poblacion Sur, will deliver the Closing Message.

The culminating ceremony will also recognize the invaluable support of partner barangays, organizations, schools, youth groups, sports clubs, and community advocates, including Barangay Guintas, Barangay Pinamalatican, Barangay Tawog, Barangay Poblacion Norte, Capiz State University โ€“ Sigma Satellite College, Sayaw Sidlak Dance Company, Vicente Andaya Senior National High School YES-O, Supreme Secondary Learner Government, Poblacion Sur Youth Association, Sigma Sepak Takraw Club, and Sigma Capiz Content Creators.

More than an awarding ceremony, the culmination of PAGHILIUSA represents the collective efforts of the community in creating opportunities where young people can lead, compete, create, serve, and inspire.

As the celebration comes to an end, its message remains clear: youth development is strongest when communities come together.
