DECLARATION OF CLASS SUSPENSION AND SHIFTING TO MODULAR DISTANCE LEARNING AND WORK SUSPENSION IN ALL LEVELS OF PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF CAPOOCAN DUE TO THE POSSIBLE ADVERSE EFFECTS OF THE SHEAR LINE AND TD BASYANG TOMORROW FEBRUARY 6, 2026.

Though TS Basyang is not expected to traverse in the AOR (or in the province), the outer ring bands and the shear line is expected to bring moderate to heavy rains tonight until tomorrow morning and may trigger flooding in the AOR. We also consider the accumulation volume of rainfall this afternoon in the AOR on top of tomorrowโ€™s forecast.

Residents living in the low-lying coastal communities are still advised to:
> Stay away from the coast or beach
> Cancel all marine activities
> Be aware and follow latest updates from DOST-PAGASA

The public and the disaster risk reduction and management offices concerned are advised to take appropriate actions and precautionary measures, and watch for the next storm surge information to be issued at 8:00 PM today.
