The Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Chairpersons of the Municipality of Caramoran convened for a Special Meeting in preparation for the upcoming ๐™Ž๐’†๐™–๐’ ๐’๐™› ๐™‚๐’๐™ค๐’… ๐‘ฉ๐™–๐’“๐™–๐’๐™œ๐’‚๐™ฎ ๐™”๐’๐™ช๐’•๐™ ๐™‚๐’๐™ซ๐’†๐™ง๐’๐™–๐’๐™˜๐’† (๐™Ž๐‘ฎ๐˜ฝ๐’€๐™‚) ๐‘จ๐™จ๐’”๐™š๐’”๐™จ๐’Ž๐™š๐’๐™ฉ, an initiative of the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) aimed at promoting excellence, accountability, transparency, and meaningful youth participation in barangay governance.

The meeting was conducted together with ๐‘ด๐™‡๐‘ฎ๐™Š๐‘ถ ๐‘ณ๐™š๐’‚ ๐‘จ. ๐™ˆ๐’‚๐™™๐’“๐™ž๐’…, who provided valuable guidance and emphasized the vital role of the SK in advancing responsive, transparent, accountable, and participatory governance at the grassroots level.

Key matters discussed included the SGBYG assessment framework, indicators, documentary requirements, validation procedures, and the necessary preparations to ensure that every Barangay SK is equipped and ready to undergo the assessment.

More than a recognition program, the SGBYG serves as a mechanism to strengthen the culture of good governance among Barangay SKsโ€”encouraging them to continuously improve their systems, programs, documentation, youth participation, and delivery of meaningful services to the young people they serve.

Through the collective efforts of the LYDO, SK Chairpersons, and local governance partners, the Municipality of Caramoran continues to build a stronger foundation for competent, accountable, transparent, and youth-centered governance.

As part of Linggo ng Kabataan 2026, the Provincial Youth Development Office (PYDO) and the Sangguniang Kabataan Provincial Federation (SKPF), in partnership with CARE Philippines, bring ABACABATAAN: Youth-Led Abaca Disease Eradication Campaign to Caramoran, Catanduanes this August 14 at Sabangan Brgy. Plaza! ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ’š

Sa aktibidad na ito, gagabayan at bibigyan ng pagkakataon ang mga kabataan na maging aktibong katuwang sa paglaban sa mga sakit ng abaca, mula sa pag-unawa sa problema hanggang sa pakikilahok sa mga solusyon para sa ating abaca industry.

Hindi lamang sila magiging tagamasid. Sila ay magiging bagong henerasyon ng mga lider, innovators, at advocates na may kakayahang tumulong sa pagpapanatili at pagpapalakas ng isa sa mahahalagang industriya ng Catanduanes. ๐ŸŒฟ

Higit sa isang youth-led campaign, ang ABACABATAAN ay isang mahalagang hakbang tungo sa isang meaningful youth participation sa pagbabalangkas ng mga polisiya at pagbibigay ng espasyo para marinig ang boses ng mga kabataan lalo na yaong nasa sektor din ng agrikultura.
