𝗘𝗫𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗗 𝗦𝗨𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗙 𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗘-𝗧𝗢-𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗘 𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗦 | September 4, 2026

The City Government of Carcar, in coordination with the Department of Education (DepEd), Carcar City College (CCC), and the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), announces the suspension of face-to-face classes at all levels in all public schools and Carcar City College on September 4, 2026, due to the current air quality situation affecting Metro Cebu.

With air quality reaching an “acutely unhealthy” level based on monitoring by the DENR-EMB 7, learners, teachers, and school personnel are advised to limit outdoor exposure and take necessary precautions for their health and safety.

For private schools, the decision to suspend face-to-face classes shall be at the discretion of their respective school administrators, taking into consideration the safety and well-being of their learners, teachers, and personnel.

PES opens ASEAN Month and Buwan ng Wika today after the Flag Raising Ceremony to celebrate unity, culture, and honor the rich heritage and strong ties of our Southeast Asian neighbors.

Let us enjoy this month together. Let us learn more about our language and our neighbors.
