“How much of yourself can you give away before there is nothing left for the life you wanted?”

Gwen dreams of becoming a teacher. But when circumstances force her to become a provider and caregiver for her younger sister, her education, and the future she imagined, are repeatedly pushed aside.

Kung Itugot Man sa Panahon tells the story of young people who are forced to grow up too soon, choosing survival and family responsibilities over the dreams they once believed were within reach.

Anchored on the Education Center of Youth Participation, the film asks:
If education is free, why is it still so difficult for some young people to achieve?

And when life forces you to choose between your dream and the people you love, what would you choose?

“Kinsa ang ika-upat nga molingkod?”

Three young people. Four expected seats. One empty space.

As they prepare for an environmental volunteer activity, three young people find themselves waiting for someone who never arrives. But as the waiting continues, the empty space begins to reveal something deeper about community, environmental responsibility, and youth participation.

Anchored on the Environmental Center of Youth Participation, IKA-UPAT asks a simple but important question:

What happens when everyone is waiting for someone else to take the first step?

And perhaps, the bigger question is—
What if the person the community is waiting for… is you?

Behind every smile, there may be a story that no one sees.

PAHIYOM follows Rein, a Grade 12 student and tattoo artist who tries to balance his studies, work, family responsibilities, and the pressure of simply keeping everything together. As his physical and mental health slowly deteriorate, his friend begins to notice the struggle hidden behind his seemingly ordinary smile.

Anchored on the Health Center of Youth Participation, the film reminds us that caring for our mental and physical well-being is not selfish, and asking for help is not weakness.

How long can someone keep saying “okay ra ko” when they’re already running on empty?

And when the smile finally fades, will someone be there to notice?

Behind every frame was a story. Behind every story was a young voice brave enough to speak.

As we culminate Linggo ng Kabataan 2026, we proudly recognize the young filmmakers and storytellers who brought the 10 Centers of Youth Participation to life through their creativity, passion, and perspective.

SALIDA SA TRES: A Youth Development Film Festival was more than a competition, it was a platform for the youth to tell stories about the issues that matter to them, their communities, and their generation.

Last August 15, 2026, we celebrate not only the films that stood out, but every young person who dared to create, speak, and be heard.

To all our awardees and participating filmmakers, congratulations! Your stories have found their audience, and your voices have become part of a bigger conversation about the youth and the future we are building together.

Your story matters. Your voice matters. And this is only the beginning.

As part of the Linggo ng Kabataan 2026, SALIDA SA TRES: A Youth Development Film Festival brought young people together through the power of storytelling, creativity, and film.

Produced by the youth of Barangay Poblacion III and the Sangguniang Kabataan of Poblacion III, the festival gave young filmmakers a platform to tell stories that matter, stories that reflect the realities, challenges, dreams, and aspirations of today's generation.

Anchored on the 10 Centers of Youth Participation, each film became more than a creative work, it became a conversation on the different issues that young people face and a reminder that the youth are not merely audiences of change, but storytellers, advocates, and active participants in creating it.

From the first frame to the final award, SALIDA SA TRES 2026 was a celebration of young voices finding their way onto the screen.

This is our generation. These are our stories. This is our SALIDA.
