🌸✨ Celebrating Women, Empowering Communities! ✨🌸

The Municipality of Carigara successfully concluded the National Women’s Month Celebration 2026 last March 30 at 4:00 PM at the LGU Carigara Grounds.

The program opened with inspiring remarks from Municipal Mayor Hon. Eduardo T. Ong Jr., highlighting the month-long activities and recognizing the vital role of women in the community. This was followed by a powerful keynote message from SB Member Hon. Mildred C. Modesto, emphasizing the strength and resilience of women. 💜

Awards and certificates were then given to participants, partners, sponsors, performers, and players in appreciation of their contributions. Special thanks to Sangguniang Bayan Member Hon. Ulpiano U. Arpon for generously sponsoring the certificate holders used during the awarding. 🎖️

In his closing remarks, GAD Focal Person Mr. Kennedy M. Eria expressed gratitude to all who made the celebration possible, emphasizing that every success was a result of collaboration. He also reminded everyone that gender equality remains an ongoing mission that calls for continuous action.

The celebration ended on a high note with an energetic Zumba session led by Mr. Raffy Orogan! 💃🕺

💜 National Women’s Month Celebration 2026 💜

In honor of National Women’s Month, we celebrated the strength, resilience, and leadership of women in our community during a day of empowerment, awareness, and protection for our Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) families on March 24, 2026, at the Liga ng Mga Barangay Hall, Carigara, Leyte.

Through a collaboration with the DSWD and LGU Carigara, the activity focused on “Digital Shields”, promoting safer online practices and empowering women to navigate the digital world confidently and responsibly.

💜✨ National Women’s Month Celebration 2026 ✨💜

In celebration of National Women’s Month, the LGU successfully conducted a Theoretical Driving Course (TDC) on March 18–19, 2026, participated in by both men and women, with strong emphasis on women’s empowerment, mobility, and equal access to driving education. This activity aims to build confidence, independence, and responsible driving skills, especially among women.

The activity was formally opened with a welcome message from Mrs. Araceli B. Diaz, LTO District Head, highlighting the importance of road safety and proper driving education for all road users.

An inspirational message was shared by Hon. Guiler I. Panal, SB Member, Committee on Transportation and Communication, emphasizing inclusive mobility and empowerment through transport opportunities.

A keynote message was delivered by Hon. Vilma M. Domus, SB Member, Committee on Gender and Children & Family Welfare, underscoring gender equality and the empowerment of women through skills development and education. 💜✨

This activity reflects the LGU’s continued commitment to advancing gender equality and women empowerment, ensuring women are equipped with the knowledge and skills to become confident and responsible drivers.
