๐Ÿ“š BUILDING A MORE SKILLED AND EMPOWERED CARIGARA

Through the initiative of Hon. Myla L. Aguilar, a Coordination Meeting was conducted between the Municipal Government of Carigara, TESDA Leyte Provincial Office, and TESDA Regional Training Center Tacloban to discuss a proposed partnership that will expand Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) opportunities for Carigaranons.

The meeting focused on the proposed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), which aims to strengthen collaboration in the implementation of skills training, scholarship facilitation, competency assessment, entrepreneurship programs, and employment support services. It also seeks to establish the Municipal Technical Education and Skills Development Committee (MTESDC) to strengthen local coordination and implementation of TVET initiatives.

This partnership reflects a shared commitment to equip Carigaranons with relevant skills, enhance employment and livelihood opportunities, and contribute to sustainable local economic development.
