CAMP LUCERO, Brgy. Nasapian, Carmen, Cotabato โ€” In line with the continuing commitment of the Philippine Army to promote professionalism, inclusivity and gender responsiveness within the organization, the 7th Field Artillery (Steel Rain) Battalion, Artillery Regiment, Philippine Army, successfully conducted a Gender Sensitivity Training at Camp Lucero, Brgy. Nasapian, Carmen, Cotabato.

The activity aimed to enhance the awareness and understanding of military personnel on gender sensitivity, equality, respect and the importance of maintaining a professional and inclusive working environment within the Armed Forces.

The training featured Dr. Flora Mae Cabacungan-Yparraguirre PHD, DBA, MPSA, JD the Assistant Vice President of Mapรบa Malayan Colleges Mindanao, as the Resource Speaker. She delivered insightful discussions on Gender Awareness, Gender-Fair Communication, Workplace Professionalism and the Significance of fostering mutual respect among personnel regardless of gender.

Participating units included personnel from Bravo Battery, 6th Field Artillery Battalion; 2nd Scout Ranger Battalion and 40th Infantry Battalion. Their active participation and meaningful engagement contributed to the overall success and relevance of the activity.

The conduct of the Gender Sensitivity Training reflects the steadfast commitment of the Artillery Regiment and the Philippine Army in strengthening gender awareness programs and cultivating a culture anchored on dignity, discipline, professionalism and respect within the military organization.

Troops from the Philippine Army, US Army Pacific, Australian Army and Japan Ground Self-Defense Force sharpened their combined capabilities in multi-domain operations as part of the Salaknib Phase 2โ€™s Joint Pacific Multinational Readiness Center-Exportable (JPMRC-X) Exercise in Fort Magsaysay, Nueva Ecija.

Exercise Salaknib is a large-scale land warfare exercise that solidifies the Philippine Army's response to evolving threats and in upholding the nationโ€™s land defense. The Philippine Army leadership commended the participating troops for their resolve to improve their ability to work seamlessly together in various scenarios and strengthen the collective capabilities of participating forces.
