TINGNAN|| Deliberation Board para sa mga Aplikante ng Basic Citizen Military Training, sinagawa sa himpilan ng 602nd Brigade

Nitong umaga ng Lunes, ika-01 ng Hunyo 2026, pormal na isinagawa ang pagsusuri sa mga boluntaryong aplikante na nagnanais maging bahagi ng Reserve Force ng Philippine Army. Ang aktibidad ay ginanap sa himpilan ng 602nd Infantry (Liberator) Brigade, 6ID, PA bilang bahagi ng maingat na proseso ng pagpili sa mga kwalipikadong kalahok ng Basic Citizen Military Training (BCMT).

Pinangunahan nina Colonel Gremel B Brual PA, Deputy Brigade Commander, 602nd Brigade, ang pagsasagawa ng panayam sa mga aplikante katuwang sina Colonel Samad R Gayak Jr. PA, Deputy Group Commander, 16th Regional Community Defense Group (16RCDG), kasama ang iba pang miyembro ng deliberation board.

Sa isinagawang deliberasyon, masusing sinuri ang personal na background, motibasyon, kakayahan, at kahandaan ng bawat aplikante upang matiyak na sila ay may sapat na disiplina, dedikasyon, at malasakit sa bayan na kinakailangan sa pagiging reservist. Tinalakay rin ang kanilang mga posibleng ambag sa pagpapatibay ng pambansang seguridad, pagtugon sa kalamidad, at pagsuporta sa mga gawaing pangkaunlaran sa kanilang mga komunidad.

Ang mga aplikanteng makapapasa sa nasabing proseso ay sasailalim sa Basic Citizen Military Training, isang programang naglalayong ihanda ang mga sibilyan sa mga batayang kaalaman sa pagiging sundalo, disiplina, pamumuno, disaster response, at iba pang kasanayang makatutulong sa pagtatanggol sa bansa at paglilingkod sa mamamayan. Ang pagsasanay ay inaasahang tatagal ng humigit-kumulang apatnapu't limang (45) araw.

Sa pamamagitan ng programang ito, patuloy na pinalalakas ng Philippine Army ang Reserve Force bilang mahalagang katuwang sa pagtatanggol sa soberanya ng bansa, pagpapanatili ng kapayapaan at kaayusan, pagtugon sa mga hamon at pangangailangan ng sambayanan sa panahon ng kalamidad at iba pang krisis.

LOOK|| Baye-baye is a sweet and sticky Filipino delicacy made from freshly grated young coconut, sugar, coconut water, and toasted pinipig (pounded rice grains). In the province of Pigcawayan, the
delicacy has become a well-known local specialty, earning the town the title “Home of the Especial Baye-baye.”

Although widely associated with Pigcawayan, baye-baye originally traces its roots to the Western Visayas region. It was introduced to Mindanao by Ilonggo and Antiqueño settlers who migrated in
search of agricultural opportunities. The name “baye-baye” is believed to have come from the local words baywi or bayohi, which mean “to pound,” referring to the traditional and labor-intensive
method of preparing the delicacy using a wooden mortar and pestle to grind the sticky grains and young coconut together.

Today, baye-baye remains a favorite pasalubong and local delicacy in Pigcawayan. Vendors can often be seen greeting passengers of buses and jeepneys, offering freshly made baye-baye to travelers passing through the town.

June is National Dengue Awareness Month, alinsunod sa Proclamation No. 1204 upang mapataas ang kamalayan ng publiko sa pag-iwas sa laganap na sakit na ito. Ayon sa Kagawaran ng Kalusugan o Department of Health (DOH), ang dengue ay banta sa kalusugan ng publiko sa buong taon ngunit mas tumitindi tuwing tag-ulan. Kadalasang naaapektuhan nito ang mga sanggol, kabataan, at matatanda.

Ang 602nd Infantry (Liberator) Brigade, 6ID, PA, ay nakikiisa sa Department of Health (DOH) sa paggunita ng National Dengue Awareness Month 2026 at sa pagpapalaganap ng kamalayan hinggil sa pag-iwas at pagkontrol sa dengue.

Ang kaalamang ito ay paalala sa bawat mamamayan na makibahagi sa pagpapanatili ng malinis na kapaligiran at pagsasagawa ng mga hakbang upang mapigilan ang pagdami ng lamok na nagdadala ng sakit na dengue.
