Fast, curious, and built for life on the ground! πŸ’

Meet the patas monkey (𝘌𝘳𝘺𝘡𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘀𝘦𝘣𝘢𝘴 𝘱𝘒𝘡𝘒𝘴), a primate native to the grasslands, wooded savannas, and woodlands of sub-Saharan Africa. Unlike many monkeys, patas monkeys spend much of their time on the ground. Their slender bodies and long limbs are specially adapted for fast movement across open habitats.

They’re also omnivores with a varied diet that includes fruits, insects, leaves, seeds, flowers, and plant gums.

At just one month old, Marion and Katie are already stealing hearts with their adorable stripes, tiny legs, and curious personalities.

At this young age, their days are all about nursing, resting, exploring, and learning to keep up with the herd. Every little step is part of growing into the strong and spirited zebras they will become!
