Preparedness starts with knowing when and where to get ready! The Local Government Unit of Carrascal, through the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), is pleased to inform the public of the upcoming schedule for the distribution of Emergency Go Bags to our communities.

📅 August 22 — Barangay Gamuton (Whole Day)
📅 August 25 — Barangay Pantukan (Morning)
📅 August 27 — Barangay Panikian (Whole Day)
📅 August 28 — Barangay Adlay (Whole Day)
📅 September 2 — Barangay Bon-ot (Whole Day)

These Emergency Go Bags are part of our continuing efforts to strengthen disaster preparedness, community resilience, and readiness during emergencies and disasters.

We encourage all concerned residents to take note of your barangay’s schedule, stay informed, and be ready with your Valid ID's . Every prepared household is a step closer to a safer and more resilient Carrascal.

The Local Government Unit of Carrascal has successfully completed the 4-Day Public Service Continuity Plan (PSCP) Formulation Workshop from August 17-20, 2026 at Watergate Hotel, Butuan City, to strengthening its commitment to ensuring that essential government services remain available and responsive even during emergencies, disasters, and other disruptions.

The workshop brought together the Office Heads of the LGU Carrascal, who actively participated in planning, identifying critical functions, and developing strategies to ensure the continuous delivery of vital services to the people of Carrascal.

The awarding and closing ceremony was graced by our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Joseph L. Urgel, who recognized the dedication and active participation of the different offices in building a more resilient and prepared local government.

This milestone is more than the completion of a workshop, it is a commitment to prepare today so that public service can continue tomorrow. Through the PSCP, LGU Carrascal strengthens its capacity to protect its operations, support its workforce, and most importantly, continue serving and caring for our people when they need government the most.

The Municipality of Carrascal formally commenced its Public Service Continuity Plan (PSCP) Formulation Workshop on August 17–20, 2026, at Watergate Hotel, bringing together the heads of various offices of the Local Government Unit of Carrascal in a collective effort to strengthen institutional preparedness, resilience, and continuity of essential public services during disasters, emergencies, and other disruptive events.

The first day of the workshop focused on establishing a strong foundation for the formulation of the Municipality’s PSCP. Mr. Fren Elias D. Malinao of the Policy Development and Planning Section, Office of Civil Defense (OCD) Caraga, provided an overview of the PSCP, highlighting its importance in ensuring that critical government functions and services remain operational despite emergencies and disruptions.

The participants then proceeded to the Workshop Proper, covering the Introduction, Purpose, and Policy Statement of the Public Service Continuity Plan. These sessions provided the participating LGU offices with a clearer understanding of their respective roles, responsibilities, and institutional commitments in maintaining uninterrupted and responsive public service delivery.

The activity was enriched by the participation and technical guidance of resource persons from the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) Caraga, including Mr. Fren Elias D. Malinao, Policy Development and Planning Section; Ms. Aizy Lynn P. Joloyohoy, Head of the Procurement Management Unit; and Mr. Michael U. Overly, Technical Personnel, Human Resource Management Unit.

This four-day workshop underscores the commitment of the Municipality of Carrascal to strengthen its systems, policies, and organizational capacity toward a resilient, prepared, and continuity-ready local government—ensuring that essential services remain accessible to the people even in times of crisis.

Through determination, discipline, and unwavering commitment, our team emerged as the Back-to-Back Champion in the Provincial Rescuers Summit 2026 Cum Firelympics and Group Exercise.

This victory is more than just a plaque or a championship title. It is a reflection of the camaraderie, coordination, competence, and preparedness that define the Carrascal emergency response community. It demonstrates that Carrascal is always ready, always prepared, and always committed to serving and protecting our community.

The MDRRMO Carrascal extends its heartfelt gratitude to our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Joseph L. Urgel, and Municipal Vice Mayor, Hon. Vicente H. Pimentel III, for their unwavering support and commitment to strengthening Disaster preparedness and emergency response in our municipality.

SERTSS Carrascal proudly takes on the challenge at the Provincial Rescuers Summit 2026 cm Firelympics Joint Exercise, joining fellow responders AND SERTSS from different municipalities in a powerful showcase of teamwork, courage, skills, and dedication to public safety this year.

The journey began at the Opening Program held at the Provincial Capitol, where participating municipalities raised their voices through energetic and inspiring yell performances. Celebration of unity, camaraderie, and the spirit of every rescuer.

Before facing the challenges ahead, the MDRRM Carrascal team took a meaningful pause for prayer and reflection through the Eucharistic Celebration at San Padre Pio Chapel in Tandag City. With humble hearts, we sought God’s guidance, mercy, wisdom, and strength as we prepared to represent Carrascal. We prayed that God would guide our every action, keep every responder safe, and give us the courage and strength to face every challenge.

Then came the first major challenge the Firefighting Competition. With determination, discipline, and teamwork, the MDRRM Carrascal team stepped forward, ready to put their training and skills into action.

We take the challenge. We trust our training. We serve with courage. We compete with honor.

With God’s guidance and the unwavering spirit of the Carrascal responders, MDRRM Carrascal stands ready to rise, respond, and make its mark.
