First Aid and Basic Life Support Training is not just a requirement for our office or work, but rather a responsibility for us to learn and equip ourselves for our families and our beloved community.

Last May 21, 2026, the awarding of Certificates of Participation was conducted for all participants from the Rural Health Unit of Carrascal and Carrascal Primary Health Care Facility who successfully completed the 3-day First Aid and Basic Life Support Training held at RVG Events Place.

The training was facilitated by guest facilitators from the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO). On the last day, participants underwent final evaluations to assess their proper ex*****on of first aid procedures and basic life support skills.

During the program, Mr. Quintino M. So, in his message of gratitude, stated:
“Ang inyong kahibalo, amoa lamang gidugangan.”
He emphasized that since the participants are from the medical field, they already possess knowledge and skills, and the training simply enhanced their capabilities. He also encouraged everyone by saying:
“Ang inyong nahibaloan karon, inyo konta ipaabot sa tanang BHW ug katawhan sa inyong komunidad, para makahatag sila ug unang tabang kon unsay naay mahitabo.”

The participants joyfully received their certificates, marking the successful completion of the training.

Mrs. Christine Marie Arreza-Intano, MDC, officially closed the program and expressed her heartfelt gratitude to all participants for their active participation and commitment throughout the activity. She also invited everyone to become SERTSS Volunteers of MDRRMO Carrascal.

In continuous pursuit of enhancing emergency response operations and ensuring the effective delivery of pre-hospital care services, the MDRRMO Carrascal successfully undergoes a Vitals Assessment Training last May 15, 2026, at Tourism Hotel, Embarcadero, Carrascal, Surigao del Sur.

The activity aimed to strengthen the knowledge, skills, and practical application of responders in assessing patients’ vital signs, particularly during medical incidents, vehicular accidents, and other emergency situations requiring immediate patient assessment and intervention.

Through this training, MDRRM Carrascal responders are now more equipped and prepared to properly use medical equipment, conduct initial patient assessments, gather accurate patient data, and determine appropriate emergency interventions prior to transport and turnover to medical facilities.

This initiative further enhances the capability and readiness of MDRRM Carrascal responders in providing efficient, timely, and quality emergency response services to the community.
