𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐊 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐒𝐊 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐨 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines – The Sangguniang Kabataan Council of Barangay San Agustin, participated in the SK Congress 2026, held at the Baguio Convention and Cultural Center from August 27–29, 2026.

The annual congress brought together SK officials from various municipalities across the province of Zambales, providing a venue for youth leaders to strengthen their knowledge and skills in capacity-building, accountable leadership, and good governance.

Among the key activities were leadership seminars anchored on the theme, “Standing Firm for Accountable Leadership and Moral Governance,” along with skills development workshops and plenary discussions focused on strengthening local youth development planning and the effective implementation of community-based projects in their respective barangays. The congress also provided opportunities for SK officials to network, exchange experiences, and share best practices in youth governance with fellow youth leaders from different municipalities.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗴𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗷𝗼𝘀. The recognition serves as a meaningful acknowledgment of their dedication, hard work, and commitment to serving the youth and the community.

The SK Congress 2026 further strengthened the council’s commitment to promoting transparent and accountable governance, compassionate public service, and inclusive youth participation. Inspired by the experience and recognition received during the congress, the San Agustin SK Council remains determined to continue creating meaningful programs and initiatives that empower the youth and contribute to the continued development of Barangay San Agustin.
