UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF FC SUPT JUNITO F MASLANG, DSC, Regional Director of the Bureau of Fire Protection Region V, and UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF FCINSP FRANCIS B CASTILLO, RCrim, Acting Provincial Fire Marshal of Masbate, personnel of Cataingan Fire Stationโ€”led by SFO2 RAQUEL N LIM, Officer-in-Charge, conducted a practical skills enhancement activity focused on rescue techniques and emergency response procedures.

The activity involved hands-on demonstrations and practical exercises designed to enhance the personnelโ€™s knowledge, skills, and preparedness in responding to emergency situations. The participants actively engaged in simulated rescue scenarios, applying appropriate techniques and teamwork to ensure an effective and coordinated response.

Through continuous skills enhancement and practical training, the activity aims to strengthen the readiness, confidence, and operational capability of firefighters in carrying out their duties, particularly during critical incidents and emergency situations.

In response to the request of the Pawican Child Development Center, personnel of Cataingan Fire Station conducted an orientation on Emergency Response, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Earthquake Drill.

Under the supervision of SFO2 Raquel N. Lim, Officer-in-Charge, the activity was conducted by personnel of this station, led by FO3 Rhea H. Rodemio.

The activity aimed to equip the participants with essential knowledge and skills on proper emergency response, basic life-saving procedures, and appropriate actions before, during, and after an earthquake.

The Cataingan Fire Station remains committed to promoting disaster preparedness and ensuring the safety and well-being of the community.

UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF FCSUPT JUNITO F MASLANG, DSC, Regional Director of the Bureau of Fire Protection Region V, and UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF FCINSP FRANCIS B CASTILLO, RCrim, Acting Provincial Fire Marshal of Masbate, personnel of Cataingan Fire Stationโ€”led by SFO2 RAQUEL N LIM, Officer-in-Charge, continued the Basic Life Support (BLS) Training for the Cataingan Municipal College Red Cross Youth Council (RCY) adviser, officers, and members.

On its second day, the training continued with practical demonstrations and hands-on activities designed to enhance the participantsโ€™ knowledge and confidence in responding to emergencies. The participants were given opportunities to apply proper basic life support and emergency response techniques, emphasizing the importance of immediate and appropriate action during critical situations.

The activity aims to strengthen the participantsโ€™ preparedness, resilience, and ability to provide assistance during emergencies and disasters, while promoting a culture of safety and community responsibility among the youth.

Through this initiative, the Bureau of Fire Protection continues to support community empowerment and disaster preparedness, working hand in hand with the youth and other community partners in promoting a safer and more prepared Cataingan.

UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF FCSUPT JUNITO F MASLANG, DSC, Regional Director of the Bureau of Fire Protection Region V, and UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF FCINSP FRANCIS B CASTILLO, RCrim, Acting Provincial Fire Marshal of Masbate, personnel of Cataingan Fire Stationโ€”led by SFO2 RAQUEL N LIM, Officer-in-Charge, conducted the first day of the Basic Life Support (BLS) Training for the Cataingan Municipal College Red Cross Youth Council (RCY) adviser, officers, and members.

The training was conducted on September 1, 2026, at the Cataingan Sports Complex, in coordination with the Cataingan Municipal College Red Cross Youth Council.

The activity focused on equipping the participants with essential knowledge and skills in basic life support, emergency response, and disaster preparedness. Through lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on activities, participants were introduced to proper first aid and life-saving techniques that can be applied during emergencies.

SA PANGUNGUNA NI FCSUPT JUNITO F MASLANG, DSC, Regional Director ng Bureau of Fire Protection Region V, at SA ILALIM NG PANGANGASIWA NI FCINSP FRANCIS B CASTILLO, RCrim, Acting Provincial Fire Marshal ng Masbate, isinagawa ng mga tauhan ng Cataingan Fire Station, sa pamumuno ni SFO2 RAQUEL N LIM, Officer-in-Charge, ang pagtalima sa Lunes bilang Troop Information and Education Day.

Isinagawa ang rank inspection, turnover ng mga tungkulin at responsibilidad, at personnel briefing upang matiyak ang kahandaan sa operasyon, wastong pananagutan sa mga firefighting resources, at malinaw na pagtatalaga ng mga gawain sa bawat tauhan.

Binigyang-diin din sa aktibidad ang kahalagahan ng disiplina, pagkakaisa, pagtutulungan, at propesyonalismo sa pagganap ng tungkulin. Kabilang din sa programa ang Moral and Spiritual Upliftment at First-Line Information and Cultural Education (FICE) upang patuloy na mapalawak ang kaalaman at mapatatag ang pagpapahalaga sa serbisyo.

Sa pamamagitan ng regular na Troop Information and Education activities, patuloy na pinagtitibay ng Cataingan Fire Station ang kahandaan at dedikasyon ng bawat tauhan sa kanilang tungkulin na maglingkod, magprotekta, at mangalaga sa kaligtasan ng komunidad.

Ang Kawanihan ng Pamatay Sunog ay nakikiisa sa buong sambayanan sa paggunita ng National Heroes Day, bilang pagpupugay sa mga kilala at hindi kilalang bayaning nag-alay ng kanilang buhay, tapang, at sakripisyo para sa kalayaan, kapayapaan, at kinabukasan ng ating bayan.

Sa bawat panahon, ang diwa ng kabayanihan ay patuloy na nabubuhayโ€”sa paglilingkod nang buong puso, sa pagtulong sa kapwa, at sa pagtataguyod ng kaligtasan at kapakanan ng bawat Pilipino. Nawaโ€™y magsilbing inspirasyon ang kanilang halimbawa upang patuloy nating isabuhay ang tunay na diwa ng kabayanihan, malasakit, at pagmamahal sa bayan.

Ang National Heroes Day ay ipinagdiriwang tuwing huling Lunes ng Agosto bilang isang regular na holiday alinsunod sa Republic Act No. 9492, na nagtakda sa huling Lunes ng Agosto bilang National Heroes Day.

Sa mensahe ni BFP Officer-in-Charge, FCSUPT Wilberto Rico Neil A Kwan Tiu, binigyang-diin niya na ang kabayanihan ay hindi lamang nasusukat sa mga dakilang sakripisyo, kundi higit sa lahat sa tapat, marangal, at walang pag-iimbot na paglilingkod sa bayan at sa kapwa. Aniya, ang bawat kawani ng BFP ay may pagkakataong maging bayani sa araw-arawโ€”sa bawat buhay na sinasagip, bawat panganib na hinaharap, at bawat Pilipinong pinaglilingkuran. Nawaโ€™y magsilbing inspirasyon ang mga bayani ng ating kasaysayan upang patuloy nating gampanan ang ating tungkulin nang may tapang, malasakit, at paninindigan.
