DTI- Northern Samar Provincial Office is seeking qualified applicants for the position of M & E (Monitoring and Evaluation) Assistant as part of the RAPID Growth Project.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Graduate of a Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Statistics, Public Administration or related field or discipline. A graduate degree or masteral units earned in the related field is an advantage but not required.
2. At least one (1) year of M&E working experience, preferably in government agencies/foreign assisted projects implemented by an economic government agency with preferred experience in any of the following: project planning, monitoring and evaluation, database management information analysis, research techniques and methodologies, report writing, use of MS Spreadsheets/Excel
3. With at least eight hours of relevant training in project design, development, coordination, monitoring, and evaluation or related field.
Skills:
Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally, in English; and work independently and/or as part of a team. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office – i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Access.
Monthly Salary: PHP 32,400.00

Consumer Welfare Month + Kataruman Festival Celebration 2026🤩🤩

𝘽𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙈𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙁𝙖𝙧𝙢𝙨.

The Department of Trade and Industry- Northern Samar Provincial Office (DTI-NSPO), through its RAPID Growth Project, in partnership with the Negosyo Center, Provincial Agriculture Office, and Local Government Unit of Allen- Municipal Agriculture Office, successfully conducted the Capacity Building on Intercropping for Sustainable Coconut Farming on September 14- 15, 2026 in Allen, Northern Samar.

The activity brought together 36 farmers who gained practical knowledge and skills on intercropping techniques, sustainable coconut farm management, and other practices that can help maximize farm resources and diversify production.

The learning sessions were facilitated by Mr. Mar-Mar L. Padilla, owner of Mar-Mar’s Integrated Farm, who shared his experiences and practical insights on farm diversification and intercropping. Meanwhile, Mr. Fermin R. Ymata Jr. and Mr. Gabby G. Domasig, Agricultural Technologists from the Provincial Agriculture Office, provided technical guidance on intercropping practices and grafting techniques, equipping participants with additional knowledge that can be applied in their own farms.

The activity also included a benchmarking session, allowing participants to observe actual farm practices and gain firsthand insights on the application of sustainable farming techniques.

Through initiatives like this, DTI-RAPID continues to empower farmers by strengthening their knowledge and skills, promoting farm diversification, and encouraging sustainable practices toward more productive and resilient coconut farming communities in Northern Samar.

The activity aimed to equip the participants with practical knowledge and skills in processing Indian mangoes into pickles as a value-added product and potential source of additional income. The training covered the proper preparation of raw materials, processing procedures, sanitation and food safety practices, packaging, storage, product costing, and pricing. The participants were guided on how to determine the total production cost, compute the cost per unit, and establish an appropriate selling price to ensure product profitability. A hands-on demonstration was also conducted to enhance the participants’ practical skills.

The Negosyo Center Biri also discussed the various business development services available to the participants, particularly Business Name Registration, as well as other assistance that may support their entrepreneurial activities. The participants were also informed about assistance in developing a business logo and other promotional and business-related materials to help establish and strengthen their potential mango pickles enterprise.

Overall, the activity provided the San Pedro Farmers Association with both technical skills in food processing and essential knowledge in business development, costing, and pricing, encouraging them to explore Indian mango pickles processing as a sustainable livelihood and income-generating opportunity.

The activity aimed to equip informal workers with practical knowledge and skills on financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and consumer advocacy. It provided participants with relevant information to help them manage their finances effectively, identify entrepreneurial opportunities, improve their livelihood activities, and become more informed and responsible consumers.

The seminar also served as a platform for information dissemination on DTI programs and services, particularly those that may assist informal workers and aspiring and existing entrepreneurs in strengthening and developing their livelihood and business activities.

The activity was made possible through the collaborative efforts of DTI-NSPO and LGU Palapag, demonstrating the agencies' shared commitment to promoting inclusive economic opportunities, strengthening local livelihoods, and empowering community members toward sustainable and resilient entrepreneurship.

The Department of Trade and Industry- Northern Samar Provincial Office (DTI-NSPO) participated in the Handog ng Pangulo: Serbisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat today, September 14, 2026, at the Provincial Capitol Gymnasium, Brgy. Dalakit, Catarman, Northern Samar.

DTI-NSPO provided the following services to participating beneficiaries and the general public:

𝘽𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙉𝙖𝙢𝙚 𝙍𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 –for sole proprietors and business owners who wish to legalize their businesses through Business Name Registration.

𝘽𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝘾𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 –for entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs seeking guidance to improve their business operations.

𝙎𝙢𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝘽𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝘾𝙤𝙧𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 (𝙎𝘽𝘾) 𝙇𝙤𝙖𝙣 𝘼𝙥𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙁𝙖𝙘𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 –for MSMEs seeking additional capitalization at low interest rates to expand their business operations.

𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙠𝙬𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙤 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙫𝙖𝙣 –provided the public with access to discounted prices on selected Basic Necessities and Prime Commodities (BNPCs).

The Department of Trade and Industry- Northern Samar Provincial Office (DTI-NSPO) conducted an Entrepreneurial Development Training with Financial Literacy and Consumer Advocacy for 214 Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries in Biri, Northern Samar on 27 August 2026.

The activity aimed to strengthen participants’ entrepreneurial knowledge, promote responsible financial management, and enhance awareness of their rights and responsibilities as consumers. 𝐁𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧, 𝐬𝐚𝐯𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐲—𝐲𝐨𝐮’𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝.
