Today, we honor our Provincial Youth Development Officer, Anne Kirsten P. Tobes. Beyond her dedication to creating platforms for youth empowerment and inclusive opportunities, she has fostered a genuine family within and beyond the office.

She reminds us every day that the most impactful work is done with empathy and collaboration. Wishing you a year as bright and meaningful as the impact you've made on all of us.

𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗿 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗡 𝗦𝗗𝗚𝘀 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Northern Samar continues to strengthen its efforts and commitment to youth development through its active participation in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) Youth Convergence 2026, held from June 24–28, 2026 in Puerto Princesa, Palawan.

The national gathering brought together active and dedicated young leaders from across the Philippines to engage in meaningful discussions, exchange innovative ideas, showcase impactful community initiatives, and foster partnerships that support the realization of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Marking a significant achievement for the province, three youth organizations from Northern Samar were recognized among the Ten Outstanding UN SDG Awards (TOUSA) 2026. The awardees are SK San Jose of Lavezares, Northern Samar chaired by Mr. Mark Kian Domiquel, SK Polangi of Catarman, Northern Samar chaired by Wency, and Tindog Kabataan represented by Ms. Glaiza MJ Camacho.

Their recognition highlights their outstanding commitment to promoting the Sustainable Development Goals through innovative programs, community engagement, and youth-led initiatives that create positive impact in their communities.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 & 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀

The Provincial Youth Development Office successfully convened the SK Special Meeting, Provincial Youth Development Council (PYDC) 2nd Quarter Meeting, Northern Samar Youth Development Alliance (NSYDA) 1st Semester Meeting, and Northern Samar Youth Development Officers (NSYDO) 2nd Quarter Meeting to align priorities, share updates, and strengthen collaboration among youth stakeholders across Northern Samar.

The meetings provided a platform to review accomplishments, set priorities for 2026, strengthen youth development plans, and discuss key initiatives, including preparations for the State of the Youth Address, the Provincial Youth Development Plan (PYDP) Planning Workshop, updates on the PPSK BIR Account, the Northern Samar Youth Welfare and Development Code, capacity-building opportunities for youth leaders, and other priority programs that will continue to advance youth development across the province.

By staying connected and working together, we continue to create more opportunities, strengthen partnerships, and deliver meaningful programs for every young Nortehanon.

We’re back on the road for 2026—starting strong with the 23rd Kabataan Caravan in Silvino Lubos, Northern Samar!

More than 100 youth joined a full day of learning, empowerment, and real talk on leadership, livelihood, health, environment, safety, and civic action through sessions led by our partner agencies:

🔹 Waste management (PGENRO)
🔹 Mental health & wellness (IGOR, PHO, PPO)
🔹 Youth protection & safety (ALTEC, NSPPO)
🔹 Leadership & civic engagement (TK, Sinag ng Hilaga)

Big thanks to LGU Silvino Lubos, LYDO, SK Federation, partner agencies, facilitators, and most especially our youth participants—energy was unmatched!
