Did you know? One of the oldest and most historically significant lighthouses in the Philippines stands proudly in Northern Samar!

Perched on the scenic island of Capul, the Faro de Isla Capul (Capul Island Lighthouse) has been guiding ships through the dangerous waters of the San Bernardino Strait for more than a century. Designed in 1892 by Guillermo Brockman, this remarkable structure witnessed the final years of Spanish rule and the dawn of a new era in Philippine history.

Standing atop a 12-meter granite tower, the lighthouse remains a symbol of Capul's rich maritime heritage and resilience. Declared a National Historical Landmark, it continues to captivate visitors with its timeless architecture, fascinating history, and breathtaking views.
