5150 Readiness: Sunken Cemetery

On or About 1430H 01 May 2026, Catarman Fire Station Personnel spearheaded by SFO4 Antonio J Arevalo III, OIC-Municipal Fire Marshal, under the guidance of FSUPT CARMEL LITO V DIONELA, Provincial Fire Marshal OPFM-CAMIGUIN, and with direct supervision of FCSUPT ROMMEL C TRADIO, Regional Director Bureau of Fire Protection Region 10, implemented water rationing and conducted flushing at the Sunken Cemetery in preparation for the 5150 Triathlon, one of the premier sporting events on Camiguin Island.

OOA 0900H 29 April 2026, Catarman Fire Station Personnel spearheaded by SFO4 Antonio J Arevalo III, OIC-Municipal Fire Marshal, under the guidance of FSUPT CARMEL LITO V DIONELA, Provincial Fire Marshal OPFM-CAMIGUIN, and with direct supervision of FCSUPT ROMMEL C TRADIO, Regional Director Bureau of Fire Protection Region 10, conducted Hazard Identification, Inspection of the Workplace and Risk Assessment at Eskinita Food Hub located at Poblacion, Catarman, Camiguin as part of the Formulation of Emergency Response Plan for Business Establishment. Further, fire safety lecture and drill was also conducted to foster a culture of safety and preparedness within local business community. Key highlights include:

* Fire Prevention Education: equipping employees and tenants with knowledge to identify potential hazards and prevent fires before they start.

*Equipment Mastery: Providing hands on instruction on the proper operation of fire extinguishers and fire fighting tools and,

*Practical Ex*****on: Concluding with a live drill and demonstration to ensure all participants could execute an orderly evacuation and emergency response under pressure.
