Empowering faith leaders to become champions of values formation.

The OPYESDOโ€“SIRAK Kabataan successfully conducted the One Values Program Training of Trainers for pastors and faith leaders as facilitators for the pilot implementation of the program in schools, held at the Tandaya Conference Room last May 25โ€“27, 2026.

The three-day training aimed to equip facilitators with relevant knowledge, strategies, and tools to effectively integrate values formation into the learning environment and contribute to nation-building. Participants engaged in key program modules, facilitation techniques, and practical approaches in guiding students toward meaningful values formation.

Together, we continue building a generation grounded in character, compassion, leadership, and purpose for a better Samar and a stronger nation.

The SIRAK Kabataan extends its support in the successful conduct of the Joint Youth Leadership Summit 2026 with the theme: Youth for Peace, Unity, and Development Across Samar, held last May 18โ€“20, 2026 at the Gabaldon Building, Pinabacdao, Samar.

During the activity, the Provincial Youth, Education and Sports Development Office (PYESDO) presented the SIRAK Kabataan Programs to the participating youth leaders, highlighting initiatives focused on youth empowerment, leadership development, and active community participation.

One of the highlights of the activity was the educational and tourism visit to the Mangrove Safari of Pinabacdao, the โ€œTrek for Peaceโ€ at the Langun-Gobingob Cave in Calbiga, and the Anti-Terrorism Awareness sessions, including talks on deceptive recruitment, HIV and mental health, VAWC, NETiquette, and Basic Life Support.

Facilitated by the 63rd Infantry Battalion in partnership with other national-line agencies and partner stakeholders, the summit served as a meaningful platform for empowering the youth to become active partners in peacebuilding, environmental stewardship, and community development.

This initiative highlights the important role of the youth as partners in promoting peace, unity, and positive change in their communities. Through programs like SIRAK Kabataan, we continue to inspire and empower the next generation towards a stronger, progressive, and united Samar.

For the 6th consecutive year, the Provincial Youth, Education and Sports Development Office (PYESDO) proudly joined the Kabataan an Paglaum (KAP) Youth Leadership Summit to discuss the transformative concept of Bridging Leadership โ€” empowering young leaders to become catalysts of change in their communities.

Organized by the Jiabong Youth Development Office in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Jiabong under the leadership of Mayor Julie Uy Cereno, together with the SK Federation Council and Youth For Peace, this yearโ€™s summit marked another meaningful step in nurturing a new generation of purpose-driven and community-centered leaders.

The activity gathered youth leaders from various barangays, supported by their respective SK Officials, united by a shared commitment to service, collaboration, and nation-building. Strengthening the spirit of resilience and peace, the summit was also conducted in partnership with the 8th Infantry Division of the Philippine Army as part of their continuing mission to empower an informed and resilient youth sector in support of peace and security efforts in the Province.

Indeed, leadership is not about standing above others โ€” it is about building bridges that connect people, inspire action, and create lasting change.
