With grateful hearts and proud spirits, Silanga National High School conducts a Culminating Program of the Arts Month and the Search for King and Queen of Arts 2026, inspired by the theme โ€œAni ng Sining, Katotohanan at Giting.โ€

This celebration will not only showcase talent and creativity, but will also tell stories of perseverance, courage, and truth expressed through art. Every performance and every step on stage will reflect the passion and dedication of our learners.

This meaningful event would not have been possible without the unwavering efforts, guidance, and commitment of the MAPEH Department, whose dedication continues to nurture the artistic spirit of our students.

More than a competition, it will be a true harvest of dreams, culture, and character within our school community.

๐Ÿ—“ February 20, 2026 | โฐ 8:00 AM

Silanga National High School successfully conducted the Barkada Kontra Droga Symposium on February 20, 2026, at 8:00 AM at the school covered court. The activity aimed to strengthen studentsโ€™ awareness about the dangers of illegal drugs and to promote safe and respectful spaces within the school community.

The program formally opened with the Philippine National Anthem, prayer, and welcome message from BKD Adviser Mrs. Maria Luisa C. Versoza. Although our School Principal II, Mr. Alicio C. Jamin, was unable to attend due to an important matter, the activity was closely coordinated and supported through the leadership of our MAPEH Head and MT-I, Mam Ligaya Nofiel, who served as the point person on his behalf.

The highlight of the symposium proper was the insightful and informative talks delivered by our distinguished speakers:
๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™‚๏ธ PSSg Jeffrey B. Sus โ€“ Talk on Drug Awareness
๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™€๏ธ PSSg Grace A. Bundac โ€“ Talk on the Safe Spaces Act

Their discussions empowered our students with knowledge, awareness, and the courage to stand firm against illegal drugs while fostering a culture of respect and safety in school.

The activity also featured intermission numbers from selected students, a heartfelt Pledge of Commitment, awarding of Certificates of Appreciation to our resource speakers, a closing message, and an open forum where students were able to actively participate and ask questions.

This meaningful event would not have been possible without the collaborative efforts of our faculty, BKD officers, student leaders, and guests.

Together, let us continue to build a drug-free, safe, and empowered Silanga NHS community. ๐Ÿ’™โœจ

TODAY : Silanga National High School proudly concludes this yearโ€™s National Reading Month with a vibrant and inspiring celebration anchored on the theme, โ€œReading is a bridge to a future full of hope.โ€

One of the most delightful highlights of the program was seeing everyone dressed as their favorite book characters, adding color, excitement, and life to the entire celebration. The parade of characters brought stories to reality and reminded us that reading will always open doors to imagination and possibility.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all facilitators who dedicated their time, expertise, and unwavering support in conducting the various contests and activities throughout the month. Your efforts ensured a smooth, organized, and impactful celebration that truly inspired our learners to read, explore, and dream.
