The 2-Day Sangguniang Kabataan Mandatory and Continuing Training held last April 29โ30, 2026 at the Kabataang Katbalogan Youth and Development Training Center successfully equipped SK officials with essential knowledge and skills on โEnsuring Transparent and Accountable SK Turnover through Proper PFRDMA Management.โ
On Day 1, participants learned the step-by-step turnover process, proper documentation, coordination with barangay officials, and the inventory and accountability of properties under the guidance of Engr. Anthony Salamida, LGOO of DILG Catbalogan.
Day 2 focused on strengthening legal and administrative foundations through discussions led by Atty. Duane Kendall Lim, covering the legal basis and policies on SK turnover, roles and responsibilities of officials, implications of non-compliance, as well as proper documents and records management including archiving. The training also highlighted financial stewardship through a session on financial records and money accountabilities, emphasizing proper handling of SK funds, accurate reporting and liquidation, and addressing common issues with best practices.
Through this initiative, our young leaders are now more prepared to ensure a smooth, transparent, and accountable transition of leadershipโupholding good governance in service of the youth. Padayon kita sa pagserbisyo! โจ
