The City Internal Audit Services Office proudly joined the Clean-Up Drive Activity at our designated area in Barangay Guindapunan, Catbalogan City, showing support for the city governmentโ€™s environmental protection and sustainability efforts.

Together with the Catbalogan City Barangay and Community Affairs Office, TESDA Samar, Kababayin-an Kontra Basura, Brgy. Guindapunan officials, volunteers, and partner organizations, we worked hand in hand to clear the accumulated waste and trash clogging the gutters in this flood-prone area of the barangay. At the same time, we promoted awareness on the importance of proper waste management, environmental responsibility, and community participation in keeping our surroundings clean and safe.

The initiative also highlights the shared commitment of the community in promoting a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable Catbalogan City.

The City Internal Audit Services Office evaluated the two-day activity, 2nd Quarter Management Committee Conference, organized by Catbalogan City Administrator's Office held last May 12โ€“13, 2026 at Balay Alejandro, Catbalogan City.

The activity garnered a 4.79 โ€“ Very Satisfactory rating from participants. Feedback received included observations that some participants were noisy during the activity, while positive remarks highlighted that the venue was conducive.

The City Internal Audit Services Office evaluated the 5th Regular Department Heads Meeting led by the Catbalogan City Administratorโ€™s Office held last May 11, 2025 at Sofiaโ€™s Catering Services and Venue.

The activity received feedback from participants, including suggestions to consider a more conducive venue to further enhance future activities and meetings.

Overall, the activity obtained a 4.8 โ€“ Very Satisfactory rating from participants.

The City Internal Audit Services Office conducted an Exit Conference with the Catbalogan City Economic Enterprise and Public Utility Office which was also attended by Catbalogan City Administrator's Office.

The audit team, headed by Atty. Maica R. Fulgencio, formally presented and discussed the audit findings, observations, and corresponding recommendations. The activity aimed to provide the concerned office with a clearer understanding of the audit results and to collaboratively identify areas for improvement toward strengthening internal controls, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring better public service delivery.

The Audit Exit Conference also served as a venue for open communication, clarification of audit concerns, and the expression of commitment from the concerned offices toward the implementation of appropriate corrective actions and continuous organizational improvement.

The Exit Conference ended with the commitment from the City Economic Enterprise and Public Utility Office and the City Administratorโ€™s Office to foster a more innovative and efficient workplace that will provide better service to clients and the public.
