Catbalogan City, Samar – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Samar Provincial Office participated in the Samar Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) Caravan held on April 28–29, 2026 at Abanador Hall, Camp General Vicente R. Lukban, Maulong, Catbalogan City, Samar.
Organized by the 801st Infantry Brigade in partnership with the Provincial Government of Samar, national government agencies, and civil society organizations, the caravan aimed to bring government services closer to Former Rebels (FRs), Friends Rescued, and insurgents undergoing reintegration into mainstream society through the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program.
As one of the participating agencies, DTI Samar provided information on its programs and services that support livelihood and entrepreneurship development. The office also conducted an Entrepreneurship Orientation for attendees, introducing basic concepts on entrepreneurship, business opportunities, and available assistance that can help beneficiaries start or improve small livelihood activities as part of their reintegration and recovery.
The activity forms part of the government’s Whole of Nation Approach under Executive Order No. 70, which promotes inclusive peace and sustainable development through the convergence of government services and support programs.
Other participating agencies included the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Agriculture (DA), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), PhilHealth, Samar Provincial Hospital, Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity (OPAPRU), Samar Police Provincial Office (SPPO), and other partner agencies.
Through initiatives like this, DTI Samar continues to support inclusive development by empowering communities through entrepreneurship, livelihood opportunities, and access to government services.
