Thank you Provincial Government of Bohol and PYDO

Bohol continues to strengthen grassroots sports development as 184 young athletes participated in the sixth leg of the 2026 Abante Grassroots Sports Clinic held in Catigbian on September 26, 2026.

The clinic featured simultaneous training in five sports disciplines: Athletics at Central Elementary School, Basketball at the Poblacion Covered Court, Badminton at the Catigbian Sports and Cultural Center, and Table Tennis and Sepak Takraw at the Catigbian Evacuation Center.

Participants also received school bags, essential school supplies, and tumblers to support their development in sports and education.

Spearheaded by the Provincial Youth Development Office (PYDO), headed by Metodio Maraguinot Jr., through the HANAS Program (Harnessing New and Advanced Sports Skills), the initiative connects young athletes with professional trainers and structured coaching.

Supporting PGBh's Strategic Governance Roadmap through sustained grassroots engagement, the program continues to develop sports skills, encourage youth participation, and help build a stronger athletic community across Bohol, a UNESCO Global Geopark.
