𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗕𝗜𝗚 𝗥𝗘𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗜𝗡 𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗗'𝗦 𝗣𝗛𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗣𝗣𝗜𝗡𝗘 𝗢𝗥𝗚𝗔𝗡𝗜𝗖 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Mayor Solomon G. Vicencio represented Catubig as one of the panelists during Naturland’s Philippine Organic Day 2026, held at Conrad Manila in Pasay City, connecting the municipality with key government institutions, organizations, development partners, and international and national organic agriculture businesses and associations that can help advance its municipal organic agriculture program.

Organized through the European Union-supported “European Organic: Nurturing Every Juan” campaign of Naturland, the event gathered key stakeholders to discuss pathways toward making certified organic agriculture more accessible and sustainable in the Philippines.

Also present at the event were Department of Agriculture Undersecretary Cheryl Marie Natividad-Caballero, National Organic Agriculture Program Director Bernadette San Juan, and DTI Assistant Secretary Grace Falgui-Baluyan, among other key stakeholders.

During the panel discussion, Mayor Vicencio highlighted Catubig’s practice of 100% organic agriculture and the continuing support of the Local Government Unit of Catubig to Catubignon farmers through programs, capacity-building initiatives, and other interventions aimed at strengthening sustainable and organic farming in the municipality.

As Executive Vice President of the League of Organic Agriculture Municipalities, Cities and Provinces of the Philippines, Mayor Vicencio likewise emphasized the importance of partnerships among national and local governments, farmers, and other stakeholders in building a stronger organic agriculture sector. He also underscored the vital role of local government units and the political capital of their leaders in advancing the national organic agriculture agenda, emphasizing the need for stronger national government support and increased funding for organic agriculture programs.

The event provided LGU Catubig with an opportunity to strengthen partnerships with government agencies, organizations, and institutions that can help advance the municipality’s organic agriculture program. These connections can open avenues for technical assistance, funding, market linkages, and other support that can create greater opportunities for Catubignon farmers and strengthen the future of organic agriculture in the municipality.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: Revisit one of the memorable moments of the Catubig Town Fiesta 2026—the Civic Parade that brought Catubignons together along the streets of Poblacion.

The parade showcased various sectors, organizations, and uniformed personnel in a meaningful display of religiosity, civic pride, and unity, culminating in a collective expression of gratitude for the blessings bestowed upon Catubig under the spiritual guidance of Saint Joseph the Worker, the town’s patron saint.

Among those who took part were the Local Government Unit of Catubig, PNP Catubig, BFP Catubig, Catubig I Central Elementary School, Catubig I District, Catubig II District, Hibubullao National High School, Catubig III District, Catubig District Hospital, Catubig Post Office, BIR Catubig, COMELEC Catubig, DAR Catubig, DILG Catubig, DSWD 4Ps and Walang Gutom Program, MCTC Catubig-Las Navas, Catubig Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Fair Gems Academy, Senior Citizens and Religious Groups, Child Development Workers, UEP-PRMC, Barangay Nutrition Scholars, Barangay Health Workers, Barangay Agricultural Workers, Catubig Valley National High School, Barangay Officials, Religious Groups, and the Mr. and Ms. Catubig Young Professionals 2026.

The participation of these agencies and institutions underscored the unity of Catubignons, bringing together different sectors in a shared observance of Catubig’s religious and cultural traditions.

Catubignons likewise express their gratitude for Secretary Sarmiento’s continued support and commitment to peace and development in our municipality. His support has been instrumental in advancing the construction of the Catubig Road and Bridge Project, a vital infrastructure initiative envisioned to improve mobility, strengthen economic opportunities, and enhance connectivity among barangays in Catubig.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | Goldilocks officially opened its newest branch in the Municipality of Catubig today, August 7, marking another milestone in the municipality's growing business landscape. The opening brings one of the country's most trusted bakeshop and food brands closer to Catubignons. It is also the first full-service Goldilocks store in Northern Samar outside of Catarman.

The Local Government Unit of Catubig extends its warmest congratulations to Goldilocks on the successful opening of its Catubig Branch. May this new venture prosper and continue creating opportunities, delivering quality products and services, and contributing to Catubig’s sustained economic development.

𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗡𝗔𝗡: Tinanggap nina Mayor Solomon G. Vicencio at Catubig Municipal Treasurer Lilian R. Celajes ang tseke na nagkakahalaga ng ₱40,000,000 na siyang unang tranche para sa Phase 1 ng Catubig Road and Bridge Project.

Isinagawa ang turnover ng pondo sa tanggapan ng Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity sa Ortigas, Pasig City, sa pangunguna ni Presidential Adviser Mel Senen Sarmiento, kasama sina Presidential Assistant for Local Conflict Transformation and Peace Sustainability Atty. Wilben M. Mayor at Director Noly M. Mapili ng CPP-NPA-NDF Peace Process Office.

Nakipagpulong din sina Mayor Vicencio at Mrs. Celajes kay Director Silvestre S. Calvara ng Office of the Head Executive Assistant, upang talakayin ang mga susunod na hakbang upang matiyak ang mabilis, maayos, at epektibong implementasyon ng proyekto para sa kapakinabangan ng mga Catubignon.

Ang patuloy na pag-usad ng Catubig Road and Bridge Project ay patunay ng sama-samang pagsisikap ng LGU Catubig at pambansang pamahalaan na maisakatuparan ang proyektong magbibigay ng pangmatagalang pag-unlad at kapayapaan sa buong Catubig.

𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗦 𝗦𝗨𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡

In observance of the Catubig Town Fiesta Celebration, the Local Government Unit of Catubig announces the suspension of work in government offices and classes at all levels, both public and private, on July 27, 2026, pursuant to Executive Order No. 2026-0720-27, signed by Mayor Solomon G. Vicencio.

The Catubig Town Fiesta is a historic and cultural tradition that brings the municipality together, strengthens solidarity, promotes the preservation of our rich heritage, and celebrates Catubig's identity as a municipality deeply rooted in culture and faith.

The suspension of work and classes will provide students, teachers, government employees, and the general public the opportunity to actively participate in the various activities and festivities of the town fiesta.

For those who wish to secure a copy of Executive Order No. 2026-0720-27, copies are available at the LGU Catubig Human Resource Management Office.
