𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧!

In celebration of the 2026 National ICT Month (NICTM) and the 10th Year Anniversary of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), with the theme "Isang Dekadang Digital: Konektado sa Puso at Serbisyo," the DICT Region II – Isabela Provincial Office, in partnership with the Local Government Units of San Guillermo and Dinapigue, successfully turned over Tablet PCs to their respective Rural Health Units (RHUs) to support the implementation of the Online Health Information System and enhance the delivery of digital healthcare services.

The activity was complemented by a Philippine National Public Key Infrastructure (PNPKI) Orientation and a Cybersecurity Awareness Seminar, equipping healthcare personnel with the knowledge and tools to promote secure digital transactions, protect sensitive health information, and strengthen cybersecurity in government services.

Together with our LGU partners, DICT continues to build a connected, secure, and digitally empowered healthcare system, bringing innovative public services closer to every Filipino.

In celebration of the 2026 National ICT Month (NICTM) and the 10th Year Anniversary of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), with the theme "Isang Dekadang Digital: Konektado sa Puso at Serbisyo," the DICT Isabela Provincial Office conducted a Cybersecurity Awareness Seminar, an eGovPH Super App Orientation, a Philippine National Public Key Infrastructure (PNPKI) Orientation, onsite technical assistance, and a presentation of DICT programs and projects for the officers and personnel of the 5th Infantry (STAR) Division, Philippine Army.

The activity strengthened digital readiness by equipping participants with practical knowledge on cybersecurity, secure digital transactions, and the use of the eGovPH Super App and PNPKI. It also empowered public servants with trusted digital tools that promoted efficiency, enhanced security, and supported citizen-centered governance.

Our sincere appreciation goes to Major General Gulliver L. Señires, Commander, 5th Infantry (STAR) Division, PA; Colonel Jesus C. Pagala, Chief of Staff; COL Anthony G. Tan, GSC (SC), PA; and the brave men and women of the 5th Infantry Division for their warm hospitality, active participation, and steadfast support in advancing digital transformation and cybersecurity within the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Isabela participates in a Digital Services Orientation conducted by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) as part of the celebration of National ICT Month.

The activity features discussions on the eGovPH Super App and the Philippine National Public Key Infrastructure (PNPKI), aimed at enhancing digital literacy, cybersecurity awareness, and the use of digital technologies in government services.

DICT Assistant Regional Director Atty. Joey G. Laverinto highlights the importance of digital platforms in improving access to government services, while DICT Provincial Officer Cirilo N. Gazzingan Jr. provides an overview of the eGovPH Super App and its features.

Participants also receive a hands-on demonstration of the eGovPH Super App from Bryan H. Tomas, Information Systems Analyst II, and learn about digital certificates, digital signatures, and secure authentication systems through the PNPKI presentation of Information Officer II Biegh John Paul Alonzo.

Meanwhile, Maria Kristine Valdez, Project Development Officer II, discusses the use of Google Workspace as a collaboration and document management tool.

DAR Isabela Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II Carmencita P. Alonzo underscores the importance of digital literacy as government services continue to transition to digital platforms.

“Napakahalaga na matutunan natin kung paano gamitin itong eGovPH app, dahil nasa digitalization na tayo. Anytime kung kakailanganin mo ng mga ID’s mo, pwedeng-pwede mo na itong i-access through your phone,” Alonzo says.

The activity provided DAR Isabela personnel with practical knowledge on digital platforms and cybersecurity measures to support more efficient public service delivery.

As part of the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗖𝗧 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟭𝟬𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 (𝗗𝗜𝗖𝗧) , the 𝗗𝗜𝗖𝗧 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟮 – 𝗜𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗮 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲successfully conducted a three-day 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 from 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟭𝟲–𝟭𝟴, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, reaffirming its commitment to building an inclusive, connected, and digitally empowered society.

Anchored on this year's theme, "𝙄𝙨𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝘿𝙚𝙠𝙖𝙙𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝘿𝙞𝙜𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙡: 𝙆𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙠𝙩𝙖𝙙𝙤 𝙨𝙖 𝙋𝙪𝙨𝙤 𝙖𝙩 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙗𝙞𝙨𝙮𝙤," the initiative brought together Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Senior Citizens, and Solo Parents, equipping them with practical digital skills, knowledge of online opportunities, and the confidence to participate meaningfully in the growing digital economy. Every session was designed with one clear purpose: ensuring no sector is left behind in the nation's digital transformation journey.

The activity was further strengthened by the presence and support of DICT Region 2 officials, including 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝘆. 𝗝𝗲𝗼𝘆 𝗚. 𝗟𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼, 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. Taos-pusong binabati po ng Lungsod ng Santiago ang Department of Information and Communications Technology - DICT sa pagdiriwang ng kanilang ikasampung anibersaryo, kasabay ng pagdiriwang ng National ICT Month ngayong taon na may temang "Isang Dekadang Digital: Konektado sa Puso at Serbisyo."

Lubos po kaming nagpapasalamat sa walang humpay na suporta ng DICT Region 2 sa ating Lokal na Pamahalaan na nakatutulong upang mailapit pa ang mga serbisyong digital sa ating komunidad, nagpapagaan ng pang-araw-araw na pamumuhay at nagbubukas ng bagong pagkakataon para sa aming mga Kabsat na Santiagueño.

In celebration of the 2026 National ICT Month (NICTM) and the 10th Anniversary of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), the DICT Region 2 Cybersecurity and PNPKI Team conducted a region-wide cybersecurity awareness campaign under the banner:

𝘾𝙮𝙗𝙚𝙧 𝘽𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙝𝙖𝙣: 𝙏𝙪𝙣𝙜𝙤 𝙨𝙖 𝙈𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙨 𝙖𝙩 𝙇𝙞𝙜𝙩𝙖𝙨 𝙣𝙖 𝘾𝙮𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙥𝙖𝙘𝙚

Anchored on this year's theme, “𝙄𝙨𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝘿𝙚𝙠𝙖𝙙𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝘿𝙞𝙜𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙡: 𝙆𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙠𝙩𝙖𝙙𝙤 𝙨𝙖 𝙋𝙪𝙨𝙤 𝙖𝙩 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙗𝙞𝙨𝙮𝙤,” the campaign brought together citizens, government employees, youth leaders, senior citizens, veterans, educators, and digital users from across the Cagayan Valley Region and beyond in a unified effort to strengthen cybersecurity awareness and digital resilience.

Over the course of the campaign, DICT Region II delivered a series of specialized cybersecurity awareness sessions designed to address the evolving digital threats faced by different sectors of society. Participants were equipped with practical knowledge on digital safety, social engineering, cyber hygiene, netiquette, protecting digital transactions and personal data, responsible use of Artificial Intelligence, and other emerging cybersecurity concerns.

From the northernmost islands of Batanes to the provinces of Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, and Quirino, DICT Region 2 brought cybersecurity awareness directly to communities through face-to-face, virtual, and hybrid learning platforms—ensuring that no one is left behind in the digital age.

The campaign officially kicked off in partnership with the City Government of Tuguegarao and the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO), emphasizing the critical role of youth engagement, community participation, and multi-sector collaboration in building a safer cyberspace for all Filipinos.

Guided by the leadership of our 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿, 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗣𝗶𝗻𝗸𝘆 𝗧. 𝗝𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘇, and supported by 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝘆. 𝗝𝗲𝗼𝘆 𝗚. As DICT celebrates a decade of service, innovation, and digital empowerment, this initiative reflects the agency's unwavering commitment to creating a digitally empowered, cyber-resilient, and future-ready Philippines.
