Synqbox, a spin-off company of Isabela State University, has earned international recognition for being a finalist in the 2026 Design AI and Tech Awards (DAITA)
The Synqbox team, led by Prof. Dr. Betchie Aguinaldo, together with Von Eric Ferrer and Alyssa Jeanne Sicam, successfully presented the Community Dengue Early Warning System (C-DEWS) in Singapore before a panel of industry experts, investors, business leaders, and members of the innovation community.
Prior to this recognition, Cauayan City participated in the 2025 Bloomberg Philanthropies Global Mayor Challenge through C-DEWS, a DOST research funded technology, where it showcased the innovation and was named among the Top 50 global innovations strengthening public health resilience against dengue.
Through their participation in DAITA 2026, the team aims to position C-DEWS as a smart healthcare public innovation for dengue prevention in the Philippines and other dengue-prone areas in the ASEAN region
