LTO, PNP AND PCG, ASSISTED IN ANTI-FIXING OPERATION IN PASAY; NINE SUSPECTED FIXERS, ARRESTED

As part of the ongoing campaign against fixers and other illegal activities in and around Land Transportation Office (LTO) offices, nine individuals suspected to be involved in illegal fixing activities were caught in the anti-fixing operation conducted by LTO personnel Field Enforcement Division-Law Enforcement Service (FED-LES), partner with the Philippine National Police (PNP) and Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), around the LTO Pasay District Office this Thursday, June 4.

After the operation, the arrested individuals were brought to Pasay City Police Station for the filing of relevant cases.

The LTO Chief, Assistant Secretary Markus V praised him. Lacanilao, the successful coordination of law enforcement agencies that became the key in catching the suspected fixers.

“We will continue to intensify our campaign against fixers who undermine the integrity of government services and exploit our countrymen. We will not condone any kind of fixing inside and around LTO offices. With the help of our partner agencies, our operations will be more aggressive to hold those who violate the law accountable," said Lacanilao.

The LTO once again reminded the public not to transact with fixers and only go through legitimate processes of the agency. The agency stressed that all LTO transactions can be done through prescribed processes without needing the help of fixers.

𝐋𝐓𝐎, 𝐏𝐍𝐏 𝐀𝐓 𝐏𝐂𝐆, 𝐍𝐀𝐆𝐓𝐔𝐋𝐔𝐍𝐆𝐀𝐍 𝐒𝐀 𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐈-𝐅𝐈𝐗𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐒𝐀 𝐏𝐀𝐒𝐀𝐘; 𝐒𝐈𝐘𝐀𝐌 𝐍𝐀 𝐏𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐆𝐇𝐈𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐀𝐀𝐍𝐆 𝐅𝐈𝐗𝐄𝐑𝐒, 𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐃𝐎

The Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT) is again warning the public against sophisticated syndicates that are luring Filipinos with promises of jobs abroad, only to forcibly conscript them into foreign military service.

Anti-trafficking authorities released the joint advisory following an emergency case conference triggered by a specific complaint of Filipinos being trafficked under false pretenses.

According to reports from the 1343 Actionline, the IACAT’s primary human trafficking hotline, victims were originally recruited for work, and upon arrival at their undisclosed foreign destinations, their employment contracts were substituted, and they were compelled to serve in foreign militaries.
