IMC, PN CELEBRATES INTERNATIONAL HUMANITARIAN LAW MONTH

Sangley Point, Cavite City – The Installation Management Command, Philippine Navy (IMC, PN) proudly joined the entire Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) in commemorating International Humanitarian Law (IHL) Month 2026 through a nationwide simultaneous flag-raising ceremony held on Monday, August 4. This year's observance carries the theme: "𝘗𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘴 𝘯𝘢 𝘜𝘨𝘯𝘢𝘺𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘵 𝘗𝘢𝘨𝘬𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘪𝘴𝘢 𝘴𝘢 𝘗𝘢𝘨𝘴𝘶𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘯𝘨 𝘐𝘏𝘓."

The ceremony brought together the Headquarters IMC and IMF–Cavite personnel at the NBC Social Hall, Naval Base Heracleo Alano, demonstrating their collective commitment to the principles of International Humanitarian Law. Following the flag-raising ceremony, the Deputy Commander, IMC, PN, Commodore Edwin B. Princillo, led the AFP's Pledge of Reaffirmation and Commitment to IHL, reaffirming the organization's dedication to observing humanitarian principles in the performance of its duties.

A key highlight of the event was the reading of the message from General Antonio G. Nafarrete, PA, Chief of Staff, AFP, delivered by the Deputy Commander, IMC, PN. In his message, the CSAFP underscored that the observance of the International Humanitarian Law Flag Raising Ceremony is more than a display of the IHL flag—it is a reaffirmation of the Armed Forces of the Philippines' patriotism, professionalism, and commitment to protecting human rights, upholding the rule of law, and preserving human dignity. He emphasized that every military operation must be guided by the principles of humanity, accountability, and respect for the rights of all, while encouraging all personnel to remain steadfast as disciplined, compassionate, and mission-focused protectors of the Filipino people.

As one with the AFP, Team IMC, PN remains steadfast in promoting the values of humanity, accountability, and respect for International Humanitarian Law. Together, we continue to uphold these principles in every mission, reinforcing our commitment to serving the nation with honor, integrity, and compassion.

The Installation Management Command, Philippine Navy (IMC, PN), in partnership with the Combat Engineering Brigade (CEB), formally commenced the six-day Basic Incident Command System (BICS) and Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Training Courses with an Opening Ceremony held on 03 August 2026 at the Combat Engineering Brigade Multi-purpose Hall. The activity brought together forty (40) participants composed of personnel from the IMC, PN and the Combat Engineering Brigade, reaffirming the Philippine Navy's commitment to strengthening disaster preparedness, emergency response, and inter-agency coordination.

The training is being facilitated by CDR Sio Eng O. Baximen PN, Director for Emergency Response Services, IMC, PN together with seven (7) Subject Matter Experts from the Office of Civil Defense headed by Dr. Aurora D. Dela Rosa, whose expertise and guidance will equip the participants with the knowledge and practical competencies necessary to effectively respond to emergencies and disasters through a unified and coordinated command system.

IMC, PN HONORS NEWLY PROMOTED ENLISTED PERSONNEL

Sangley Point, Cavite City – The Installation Management Command, Philippine Navy (IMC, PN), recognized the dedication, professionalism, and unwavering commitment of seventeen (17) Enlisted Personnel during a Donning of Ranks Ceremony held on Friday, July 10 at the NBC Social Hall, Naval Base Heracleo Alano, marking a significant milestone in their career.

The ceremony that was presided over by the Deputy Commander, IMC, PN, Commodore Edwin B. Princillo, celebrated the hard-earned achievements of the newly promoted enlisted personnel and underscored the Command’s commitment to recognizing excellence and rewarding meritorious service.

In his remarks, Commo. Princillo congratulated the promotee on achieving an important milestone in their Navy career. HONORING A LEGACY OF SERVICE AND LEADERSHIP | IMC, PN WELCOMES CNFEM AND CNFC

Sangley Point, Cavite City - The Installation Management Command, Philippine Navy (IMC, PN) proudly welcomed Commodore Ireneo D. Battung PN, Commander, Naval Forces Eastern Mindanao, and Commodore Joselito E. De Guzman PN, Commander, Naval Forces Central, during their farewell visit to Headquarters, IMC, PN, in Naval Base Heracleo Alano on Thursday, July 9, as they prepare to retire from military service later this year.

Team IMC, PN, headed by Rear Admiral Peter Jempsun V. De Guzman PN, accorded arrival honors to both distinguished officers as a fitting tribute to their remarkable careers and invaluable contributions to the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the nation. The ceremony was followed by the traditional signing of the Command Guestbook, symbolizing their meaningful visit and enduring connection with the Command.

During their visit, Commo. Battung and Commo. De Guzman expressed their sincere gratitude to Team IMC, PN for the warm welcome, gracious hospitality, and camaraderie extended to them, making their farewell visit truly memorable.

As Commo. Battung and Commo.
