𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝟏𝟎 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

In commemoration of the 10th Anniversary of the July 12, 2016 Arbitral Award, Installation Managemenent and Facilities-Cavite conducted the distribution of educational flyers to the students of Sangley Point Primary and Secondary School. The activity aimed to strengthen awareness among the youth about the significance of the landmark ruling and its role in affirming the Philippines' maritime rights through peaceful and lawful means under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).

The educational flyers highlighted how the Arbitral Award serves as a milestone in upholding international law, demonstrating that disputes can be resolved through evidence, dialogue, and legal processes rather than the use of force. Beyond protecting the country's maritime entitlements, the ruling also contributes to safeguarding coastal communities, preserving marine biodiversity, ensuring food security, and securing future opportunities for every Filipino.

Through this initiative, IMF-Cavite reaffirms its commitment to promoting public awareness and encouraging the younger generation to appreciate the value of the rule of law, responsible citizenship, and the peaceful protection of our nation's rights. As we mark a decade since this historic achievement, we continue to uphold the principles of justice, cooperation, and a rules-based international order for the benefit of present and future generations.

𝐁𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬

In a spirit of bayanihan, the Naval Installation and Facilities-Cavite, under the leadership of Commander, NIF-Cavite, CAPT HERNANE DC LANES PN(GSC), took part in Brigada Eskwela 2026 through a coordinated week-long community outreach initiative. The activities were carried out across several educational institutions, starts at Sangley Elementary School on June 1, 2026, followed by Manuel S. Rojas Elementary School on June 2, 2026 and Luis Ferrer Memorial Elementary School on June 3, 2026. Simultaneous efforts were conducted at General Trias Memorial Elementary School and Molino Elementary School on June 4, 2026, before the program concluded at Cavite National High School on June 5, 2026. This sustained engagement highlights the unit’s commitment to supporting local schools and strengthening partnerships with the community in preparation for the opening of classes.

Brigada Eskwela goes beyond the physical improvement of school facilities; it serves as a meaningful platform for fostering collaboration among schools, local communities and government agencies. Through collective action, the program strengthens civil-military relations, promotes a sense of social responsibility, and reinforces the shared commitment to nation-building through education. For students, these efforts help create a safe, clean, and conducive learning environment that supports their academic growth, well-being, and personal development. At the same time, the active involvement of military personnel enhances community trust and cooperation, demonstrating the Armed Forces' dedication not only to national security but also to community development and the welfare of future generations.

The successful implementation of Brigada Eskwela stands as a testament to the collective dedication, cooperation, and shared vision of the community in nurturing the future of the nation's youth. As the School Year 2026–2027 begins, we extend our heartfelt best wishes to all learners embarking on a new academic journey.

𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗜𝗖𝗘 | Through the proactive and community-oriented leadership of the Commander, Naval Installtion and Facilities-Cavite, CAPT HERNANE DC LANES PN(GSC), a Coastal Clean-up and Dental Civic Action Program was successfully conducted in support of the local community on 29 May 2026 at Brgy 30 Bidbid, Calumpang, Cavite City.

Together with NIF-Cavite personnel and representatives from the local government unit and various private organizations, the activity underscored the unit's commitment to environmental preservation, public health, and community development through meaningful outreach initiatives. Through their active participation, cooperation, and shared dedication to public service, the activity was successfully carried out for the benefit of the local populace.

As part of the environmental component of the program, participants conducted a coastal clean-up operation aimed at removing trash and other waste materials accumulated along the shoreline. This initiative sought to promote environmental awareness, protect coastal and marine ecosystems, and encourage the community to take an active role in maintaining the cleanliness and sustainability of coastal areas. The activity also highlighted the importance of proper waste management in preserving the natural beauty and ecological health of the environment.

Simultaneously, the Dental Civic Action Program provided dental consultations, oral health education, and basic dental services to local residents. The initiative was designed to help address common dental concerns, promote proper oral hygiene practices, and provide accessible dental care to community members. Through this effort, beneficiaries received much-needed dental assistance while gaining a better understanding of the importance of maintaining good oral health.

The successful conduct of the Coastal Clean-up and Dental Civic Action Program reflects the unwavering commitment of NIF-Cavite and its partners to serving the community beyond their primary duties. By addressing environmental concerns and promoting oral health, the activity contributed to the well-being of local residents while strengthening the partnership between the military, local government, private organizations, and the community.

𝐒𝐓𝐀 𝐂𝐑𝐔𝐙𝐀𝐍 𝐒𝐀 𝐊𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐎 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

𝟮𝟴 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 | Celebrated as a Filipino religious and cultural parade, a significant Santacruzan was turned into a spectacular event. The Sta. Cruzan is a celebration of faith, cultural heritage, and community cohesion, was successfully carried out under the leadership of Commander, Naval Installation Command, RADM PETER JEMPSUN V DE GUZMAN PN. An event made possible through the support and cooperation of the various units within the base on 28 May 2026 at Naval Base Heracleo Alano, Sangley Point, Cavite City.

The activity commenced with a solemn Holy Mass at La Naval Chapel, bringing together the community in prayer and thanksgiving. Following the Mass, a colorful caravan featuring the Reyna’s parade around Cavite City, showcasing one of the country's most cherished religious traditions and highlighting the devotion and cultural heritage of the Filipino people.

The celebration concluded with a program at the NBC Social Hall, where participants gathered in fellowship and camaraderie from the different units aboard NBHA, members of various religious organizations, local barangay representatives, military dependents, and other stakeholders, whose presence and participation contributed to the success and significance of the occasion.

Beyond commemorating a long-standing religious tradition, the Sta. Cruzan served as a platform for strengthening spiritual values, promoting unity, and fostering stronger relationships among military personnel, their families, and the surrounding community. The activity reinforced the importance of faith, cooperation, and mutual respect while providing an opportunity for participants to come together in a shared celebration of culture and devotion. Through events such as this, the base continues to cultivate a sense of belonging, solidarity, and community engagement, contributing to a more cohesive and resilient community.

NIF-Cavite conducted a one-day community sportsfest led by the Commander, Naval Installation and Facilities-Cavite, CAPT HERNANE DC LANES PN(GSC), specially attended by Cavite City Mayor, Hon. Denver Reyes-Chua. Said activity was participated by military wives with their dependents aboard Cavite on 26 May 2026 at Magluyan Hall, Naval Base Heracleo Alano Sangley Point, Cavite City.

The Community Sportsfest was conducted to build unity, teamwork, and camaraderie through sports and friendly competition. This event brings together individuals of all ages to strengthen relationships, promote healthy living, and encourage active participation within the community. Through various games and activities, the Sportsfest fosters sportsmanship, cooperation, and a stronger sense of belonging among participants.

NIF-Cavite remains committed to conducting initiatives like this as part of its continuous efforts to enhance the overall well-being, readiness, and esprit de corps of its participants.

NIF-Cavite successfully conducted their first ever Summer Sports Clinic led by CAPT HERNANE DC LANES PN(GSC), CNIF-Cavite with the support of LCDR CARLO M MADRID JR PN, Acting Deputy Commander, NIF-Cavite and the Chief-of-Staff NIF-Cavite. This sport activity was held on 21 May 2026 at Naval Base Heracleo Alano Sangley Point, Cavite City and was participated by the young dependents of our military personnel.

The Summer Sports Clinic 2026 aims to inspire young individuals to embrace an active and healthy lifestyle through sports and recreation. This program provides a meaningful opportunity for participants to develop their athletic skills, build self-confidence, and strengthen teamwork and discipline. With dedicated coaches and exciting activity this summer promises a fun-filled and productive experience for everyone involved.

Participants competing in football demands raw passion, relentless teamwork, and tactical discipline. Players test their physical limits, transforming challenges into shared victories through relentless training, sportsmanship, and an unwavering drive to win.
