The Office of the Building Official (OBO) – Cebu City recently welcomed delegates for a Cross Learning and Benchmarking Activity, showcasing our best practices in implementing the One-Stop Shop for Construction Permits (OSCP) and enforcing the National Building Code (PD 1096) and its IRR locally in the City of Cebu.
Participants included are the City / Municipal Engineers and Building Officials in their respective city/municipality, namely: Engr. Noe Palamos from Baliangao, Engr. Jopson Baones from Calamba, Engr. Jay Lafuente and Engr. Narcely Mejorada from Clarin, Engr. Ernesto Garcia, Jr. and Engr. Linrhod Cabasaca from Concepcion, Engr. Diosdado Vailoces, Jr. from Jimenez, Engr. Imelda Abdullah and Engr. Andre Salabas from Oroquieta City, Engr. Aurelio Pulangas and Engr. Cherjun Dods Dumalo-an from Plaridel, Engr. Lilanie Eroy from Sapang Dalaga, Engr. Earl Mitchelle Ontario from Sinacaban, Engr. Melindo Tala from Tangub City, and Engr. Tita Kadavero from Tudela.
During the activity, participants were introduced to our innovative digital platforms—the OBO Information System Version 3 and the OBO Portal—which support online applications, tracking, and access to downloadable forms. These systems have enabled faster, more efficient, and more accessible public services.
