As we continue our MR-SIA (Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity), let us remember that protecting our children is a shared responsibility.

Kahadlok o Fear can influence our thoughts, panghuna-huna but with the right information, evidence-based decisions and guidance from our healthcare workers, we can take an active role in protecting our children from vaccine-preventable diseases.

Barangays and Barangay Health Stations that are not mentioned are advised to go directly to the Main Health Center-Birthing Section.

Ang breastfeeding ay hindi lang responsibilidad ni Mommy, ito ay sama-samang pag-aaruga ng buong pamilya at komunidad! 💛

Narito ang ilang paraan para makasuporta:
🏡 Tulungan si Mommy sa mga gawaing bahay upang makapagpahinga siya at makapag-focus sa pagpapasuso.
🤝 Lumapit sa inyong BHW at BNS, at makilahok sa mga breastfeeding at mother support groups sa inyong barangay.
🏥 Samahan si Mommy at Baby sa regular na pagpapacheck-up sa Health Center upang matiyak na sila ay nananatiling malusog.

🚨𝙋𝙐𝘽𝙇𝙄𝘾 𝙃𝙀𝘼𝙇𝙏𝙃 𝙍𝙀𝙈𝙄𝙉𝘿𝙀𝙍 | SAFE CHILDBIRTH MATTERS

This afternoon, a G6P6 mother was brought to the health facility via stretcher following a home delivery assisted by a traditional hilot. The baby was delivered at around 2:00 PM, but the placenta (inunlan) remained undelivered and reportedly very adherent, requiring immediate medical attention, now possibly surgical intervention.

Importantly, the patient’s midwife had already advised hospital delivery because of the identified indication.

We would like to remind everyone:

🩺 Midwives refer patients to the hospital when hospital-based care is indicated. This is not meant to delay care, it is meant to protect both mother and baby.

🚫 Traditional birth attendants (hilot) are NOT authorized to conduct deliveries. Childbirth can become an emergency within minutes, and complications such as retained placenta, postpartum hemorrhage and other obstetric emergencies require trained healthcare professionals and appropriate facilities.

🙏 Please do not wait for an emergency to happen before seeking proper care.

For every mother and every baby, choose a safe and skilled birth attendant. Choose facility-based delivery.

A healthy delivery should never depend on luck.

Ang Routine Immunization ug MR-SIA dili lang basta vaccination activity. Kini usa ka panaghiusa sa tibuok komunidad aron makadugang og usa ka layer sa proteksyon batok sa measles ug rubella, mga sakit nga mahimo natong mapugngan pinaagi sa bakuna.

Sa mga ginikanan sa Lawaan nga mipili nga maminaw, mangutana, makasabot, ug manalipod, daghang salamat sa pagpili nga unahon ang kahimsog sa inyong mga anak. 🛡️❤️

Ug sa atong Barangay Lawaan Leaders, BHWs, Midwives, ug Health Team—saludo kami sa inyong walay hunong nga paningkamot sa pagdala sa serbisyo panglawas mas duol sa matag pamilya.
