The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), led by Secretary Robert Joseph M. de Claro, opened the Philippine Cybersecurity Conference 2026 (Philippine CyberCon 2026) on October 20, 2026, bringing together government leaders and international partners to strengthen the countryβs defenses against evolving cyber threats.
In his opening remarks, Secretary de Claro emphasized that protecting personal data, critical infrastructure, and essential digital services requires cooperation across sectors. βNo single agency can protect all of this alone,β the ICT Chief said.
Held as part of Cybersecurity Awareness Month, the three-day conference, organized by the DICT Cybersecurity Bureau, runs from October 20 to 22 under the theme βCyber Balangayan: Forging a Resilient Nation Through Cooperation, Capability, and Collective Defense.β It aims to strengthen cybersecurity capabilities, improve incident response, and deepen partnerships in addressing emerging threats.
