ILCDB VII SAFEGUARDS DIGITAL GOVERNANCE THROUGH DATA PRIVACY AND CYBER HYGIENE AWARENESS

The ICT Literacy and Competency Development Bureau (ILCDB) Region VII – Central Visayas, in partnership with the Bohol Information and Communication Technology Office (BICTO), successfully conducted a Data Privacy and Cyber Hygiene Awareness session for the Provincial Heads of the Provincial Government of Bohol on August 28, 2026, at JJs Seafood Village, Tagbilaran City, Bohol.

The session covered essential data protection and cyber hygiene practices, including safeguarding sensitive information, recognizing common cyber threats, and adopting secure digital habits in the workplace. Through interactive discussions and practical examples, participants gained valuable insights into protecting government data and promoting a safer digital environment.

Through collaborative initiatives such as this, ILCDB Region VII – Central Visayas and BICTO continue to promote secure and responsible digital governance. By strengthening data privacy and cybersecurity awareness among government leaders, both offices contribute to a more secure, resilient, and trusted digital public service.

ILCDB VII SPURS DIGITAL MARKETING INNOVATION AMONG BOHOL MSMEs

The ICT Literacy and Competency Development Bureau (ILCDB) Region VII – Central Visayas, in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Bohol, successfully conducted a Digital Marketing with AI Integration training for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) on August 27, 2026, at the Legislative Building, Municipality of Dauis, Bohol.

The training explored AI-powered tools and strategies for content creation, online promotion, audience engagement, and digital marketing, providing participants with practical insights on how emerging technologies can enhance their marketing efforts.

Through its continuing digital capacity-building initiatives, ILCDB Region VII – Central Visayas remains committed to helping MSMEs harness emerging technologies, foster innovation, and explore new opportunities for sustainable business growth.

ILCDB VII DRIVES DIGITAL SKILLS DEVELOPMENT AMONG LGU SAN ISIDRO BARANGAY OFFICIALS

The ICT Literacy and Competency Development Bureau (ILCDB) Region VII – Central Visayas successfully conducted a Digital Literacy Training for LGU San Isidro from August 24–27, 2026, at the Digital Transformation Center (DTC) Tagbilaran City, Bohol. The four-day training brought together barangay secretaries, treasurers, kagawads, and barangay captains to develop practical digital skills for their daily administrative and public service functions.

The training covered Canva, Microsoft Excel, and Google Workspace through interactive discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises. Participants gained practical skills in digital content creation, spreadsheet management, online collaboration, and other technology-based tasks that can support more efficient barangay operations.

As part of its continuing digital literacy initiatives, ILCDB Region VII – Central Visayas remains committed to bringing relevant digital skills training closer to local government units and strengthening their capacity to use technology in delivering efficient and responsive public services.

ILCDB VII, PARTNERS RECOGNIZE OVER 250 GRADUATES OF GENERAL VIRTUAL ASSISTANCE 2.0 TRAINING

The ICT Literacy and Competency Development Bureau (ILCDB) Region VII – Central Visayas, through its Strengthening the Philippine Workforce through Adaptive and Responsive Digital Knowledge (SPARK) Program, in partnership with Aboitiz Foundation Inc. through its AIDA Plus program, SM Seaside City Cebu, Call Center Academy (CCA), Inc., Visayan Electric Company (VECO), and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Region VII – Central Visayas, successfully recognized over 250 graduates of the General Virtual Assistance 2.0: A Paradigm Shift in AI-Powered Interaction program on August 26, 2026, at the City Wing Atrium of SM Seaside City Cebu.

The graduates successfully completed the 120-hour training program conducted from July 13–August 14, 2026, designed to equip participants with relevant digital knowledge and skills for the evolving virtual assistance and AI-powered work environment.

Through the collaborative efforts of ILCDB Region VII and its partner organizations, the program provided participants with opportunities to develop practical competencies, adapt to emerging digital technologies, and strengthen their readiness for employment and the future of work.

As part of its continuing commitment to inclusive digital capacity-building and workforce development, ILCDB Region VII – Central Visayas, together with its partners, remains dedicated to empowering Filipinos with the digital skills and knowledge needed to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven world.

ILCDB VII STRENGTHENS DIGITAL READINESS AMONG NIA BOHOL STAFF

The ICT Literacy and Competency Development Bureau (ILCDB) Region VII – Central Visayas successfully conducted a Digital Literacy Training for National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Bohol Staff on August 19–20, 2026, at the Digital Transformation Center (DTC) Tagbilaran. The two-day training aimed to enhance participants’ digital competencies and strengthen their ability to effectively utilize technology in their daily work.

The training covered Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Google Workspace, providing participants with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in document creation, spreadsheet management, and digital collaboration. Through interactive discussions, demonstrations, and exercises, participants developed essential skills that can contribute to greater efficiency and productivity in the workplace.

As part of its continuing digital capacity-building efforts, ILCDB Region VII – Central Visayas remains committed to strengthening the digital competencies of government personnel and promoting the effective use of technology in public service.
