𝐓𝐎𝐃𝐀𝐘 | 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 – 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭-𝐰𝐢𝐝𝐞 (𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐕𝐈𝐈𝐈)

Strengthening Parish Caritas, strengthening the Church's mission of charity.

Today, 𝐂𝐞𝐛𝐮 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐬 𝐈𝐧𝐜. successfully conducted the 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 – 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭-𝐰𝐢𝐝𝐞 for District VIII at San Narciso Parish, Consolacion, Cebu. The gathering brought together Parish Caritas volunteers from across the district in a shared commitment to deepen their ministry of service and strengthen parish-based social action.

The activity began with an opening prayer led by 𝐑𝐞𝐯. 𝐅𝐫. 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨 𝐅𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐬, 𝐂𝐌, Parish Priest of San Roque Parish, Subangdako, Mandaue, followed by a warm welcome from Brad. 𝐄𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐩, Parish Caritas Coordinator of San Narciso Parish. The program proper was facilitated by 𝐑𝐞𝐯. 𝐅𝐫. 𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐱 𝐊. 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐚, 𝐉𝐫., Executive Director of Cebu Caritas Inc., together with the Cebu Caritas staff and YSLEP Scholar.

This reorientation forms part of the Cebu Caritas Two-Year Plan that is aligned with CCOST, under the leadership of 𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐯. 𝐀𝐥𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐨 𝐒. 𝐔𝐲, 𝐃.𝐃., Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cebu.

We were also honored by the presence and support of 𝐌𝐬𝐠𝐫. 𝐉𝐮𝐚𝐧 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐃𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐝𝐨, HP, Episcopal Vicar of District VIII; 𝐑𝐞𝐯. 𝐅𝐫. 𝐄𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐏𝐞𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐚, Parish Caritas Priest-In-Charge; Vicars Forane 𝐑𝐞𝐯. 𝐅𝐫. 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐍𝐨𝐞𝐥 and 𝐑𝐞𝐯. 𝐅𝐫. 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐨 𝐆𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐳; 𝐑𝐞𝐯. 𝐅𝐫. 𝐉𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐋𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚, Team Moderator of San Fernando El Rey Parish, Liloan; and 𝐑𝐞𝐯. 𝐅𝐫. 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨 𝐅𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐬, 𝐂𝐌. Their encouragement and pastoral guidance continue to inspire our Parish Caritas volunteers in living out the Gospel through compassionate service.

This engagement aims to develop a comprehensive set of standardized training modules covering Community-Based Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM), Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation (CCAM), Climate-Smart Livelihoods, Community-Based Organization (CBO) Strengthening, and Institutional Capacity Building to ensure the sustainability and replication of the project's gains beyond its implementation period.

This engagement is open to individual consultants or service providers with proven experience in developing training modules, curricula, or facilitator's manuals—preferably for development, humanitarian, or NGO-based programs.

Preference will be given to applicants with the following qualifications:
• Background in Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM), Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation (CCAM), Project Development, or a related field
• Proven experience in developing training modules, curricula, or facilitator's manuals
• Working knowledge of community-based DRRM planning, climate change adaptation and mitigation, and CBO or institutional strengthening approaches

This engagement is open to individual consultants or service providers with proven experience in Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM), emergency management, emergency response planning, contingency planning, or similar disaster preparedness initiatives—preferably for development, humanitarian, or NGO-based programs.

Preference will be given to applicants with the following qualifications:
• Background in Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM), Emergency Management, or a related field
• Proven experience in developing or finalizing Emergency Response Plans, contingency plans, or similar disaster preparedness documents
• Working knowledge of the Philippine DRRM legal and institutional framework (RA 10121), including LGU and BDRRMC systems and processes
• Demonstrated experience in facilitating consultation and validation workshops with diverse stakeholders

• Experience in Incident Command Systems (ICS), technical writing, or GIS/hazard mapping is considered an advantage

𝐂𝐞𝐛𝐮 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐬 𝐈𝐧𝐜. is participating in the Mid-Term Review of the 𝐄𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 (𝐄𝐀) 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 to Communities Affected by the Combined Hazards of a Tropical Cyclone and the 6.4 Earthquake in the Provinces of Masbate and Cebu, Philippines, held on July 27–28, 2026 at Hamerson Hotel, Cebu City.

Representing the project are five community volunteers from Tabogon and Bogo alongside five Cebu Caritas project staff, joining partners in a participatory assessment of the project's first six months of implementation.

Facilitated by 𝐌𝐬. 𝐉𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞 𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐨 and conducted in partnership with Caritas Philippines, the review aims to assess the project's relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, and implementation challenges, while identifying corrective measures and capturing valuable lessons that will strengthen the remaining project period.

Through reflection, collaboration, and shared learning, Cebu Caritas remains committed to improving humanitarian action and ensuring that our programs continue to respond effectively to the needs of vulnerable communities.

𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐀𝐋𝐒 | Cebu Caritas, Inc. is calling for a qualified 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐫/𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 for the 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧 (𝐄𝐑𝐏) for the project "𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐛𝐮, 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬" (BDCRC Project), implemented in the Municipality of Malabuyoc, Southern Cebu, with funding support from Caritas Germany. The engagement aims to review, validate, and finalize the existing draft Emergency Response Plan into a complete, practical, and ready-to-use document aligned with national and local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) frameworks.

This engagement is open to individual consultants or service providers with proven experience in Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM), emergency management, emergency response planning, contingency planning, or similar disaster preparedness initiatives—preferably for development, humanitarian, or NGO-based programs.

Preference will be given to applicants with the following qualifications:
• Background in Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM), Emergency Management, or a related field
• Proven experience in developing or finalizing Emergency Response Plans, contingency plans, or similar disaster preparedness documents
• Working knowledge of the Philippine DRRM legal and institutional framework (RA 10121), including LGU and BDRRMC systems and processes
• Demonstrated experience in facilitating consultation and validation workshops with diverse stakeholders
• Familiarity with Caritas, faith-based, or community development programming is an advantage
• Experience in Incident Command Systems (ICS), technical writing, or GIS/hazard mapping is considered an advantage

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | On July 25, 2026, 𝐂𝐞𝐛𝐮 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐬 𝐈𝐧𝐜. successfully conducted a Medical Mission at the 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐝𝐢𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐭. 𝐀𝐫𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧, Basak San Nicolas, Cebu City, bringing accessible healthcare services to members of the community.

The mission provided free medical consultations, dental services, and essential healthcare assistance through the dedicated efforts of volunteer healthcare professionals and Parish Caritas volunteers. More than addressing physical needs, the activity reflected the Church's continuing commitment to uphold the dignity, health, and well-being of every person, especially those who have limited access to medical care.

Cebu Caritas Inc. extends its sincere gratitude to our volunteer consultant doctors, Dr. Susana Duruhom and Dr. Leah Maquilan, together with the volunteer medical and dental teams, whose generous service made this mission possible. We also thank the Parish Caritas Volunteers, under the leadership of Mrs. Virginia Lee, for their invaluable support, dedication, and collaboration in ensuring the success of this outreach.
