He was born into a poor childhood in Uson, Masbate. The eldest son of a family of 8, Winston went through days full of hard labor and nights empty of food. e hard work it takes to put food on the table, Winston Pepito knew in his heart that a life worth living is one that has purpose. For Winston, his purpose was to bring his family out of poverty and he succeeded. He envisions the same success story for the poor and the oppressed which what drove him into politics. From his backbreaking childhood in the farmlands and fishponds of Masbate to his college years in the metropolis of Cebu when he was both nearly homeless and penniless. Winston's life is the story of survival, of struggle, of kindness and generosity of family and friends can give a person purpose to never give up. Winston was very active in charity long before he was elected a barangay official. He is noted for his exemplary leadership with all the successes he brought to various organizations he served with and that he was touted a visionary leader among many community organizations. His meteoric rise from being penniless to managing his own company while studying in college is a testament that for a life with a purpose, there are possibilities and prosperity. If we vote with a purpose, and select our leaders for a good purpose, there are possibilities and prosperity.
