The activity focused on monitoring vehicular movement, enforcing traffic regulations, and ensuring that motorists comply with city ordinances. Several traffic violations were recorded and properly addressed during the operation.

Personnel of Sawang Calero Police Station 6, Cebu City Police Office under the leadership of PMAJ NOAH LABRA Aร‘ANA, OIC, successfully conducted a Joint Community Outreach Program dubbed โ€œChildrenโ€™s Haven Pasil Subaโ€ at the Children's Park, Tupaz St., Brgy. Suba, Cebu City! ๐ŸŽˆ

In close partnership with our valued community stakeholdersโ€”the Code Red Movement led by Mr. Harry Velaria, Community Bible Study Philippines, God's Grace Farm, and the University of Cebuโ€”our team was able to bring smiles, fun activities, and delicious food packs to local children! ๐ŸŽ lunch packs and special prizes were generously sponsored by Ms. Evie Maranga PS6 Advisory Council Member under the guidance of Ms. Ma. Yvonne C. Barandog SAGPTD Chairperson.

This collaborative effort highlights the importance of nurturing a safe, supportive, and drug-free environment for our youth while fostering stronger bonds between our police officers and the community we serve.

CCPOโ€™S METHODICAL INVESTIGATION AND SWIFT HOT PURSUIT OPERATIONS LEAD TO ARREST OF TWO SUSPECTS IN SUDLON 1 KIDNAP-SLAY CASE

The Cebu City Police Office, together with Consolacion MPS has attained a major breakthrough in the investigation being conducted on the discovery of a dead person in the afternoon of September 3, 2026 in Sudlon 1, Cebu City.

The fatality, who was identified in coordination with relatives, was kidnapped in North Poblacion, Consolacion, Cebu in the morning of September 3, 2026 and was killed later in the afternoon in Sudlon 1, Cebu City.

Upon instructions of PCOL RICKY SUMALDE, an in depth and well-coordinated investigation resulted in the arrest of two primary suspects, with other two identified conspirators being relentlessly pursued by joint police teams.

The arrests came after a continuous follow-up investigation and hot pursuit operation conducted by joint investigation teams from Police Station 12, Investigation and Detective Management Unit (IDMU-CCPO), Criminal Investigation Unit (CIU-CCPO), Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (CIDU-CCPO), and Consolacion Municipal Police Station under the close supervision of PLTCOL Gerard Ace Pelare, DCDO, CCPO.

After series of case conferences and evidence-gathering methodology, investigators pieced together witness accounts, vehicle information, and CCTV footages to establish the movements connected to the incident.

Their investigation led to the identification of a red vehicle used by the suspects which was traced to a rent-a-car company and subsequently located. The vehicle was processed by the Scene of the Crime Operations (SOCO) team as part of the ongoing investigation

Through these sustained, coordinated, and non-stop PNP efforts, the suspects were arrested in separate operations in the early morning of September 5, 2026.

The first suspect, a male and e-bike driver with a previous criminal record, was arrested at approximately 3:00 AM in Ermita, Cebu City. At around 5:00 AM, a second male suspect, who is unemployed and also has a previous criminal record, was arrested in Cogon Pardo, Cebu City.

Both suspects were informed of their constitutional rights and underwent the required booking procedures and medical examination. They are currently detained pending the filing of appropriate charges.

Meanwhile, at least two other suspects remain at large. The joint investigation teams continue to coordinate with concerned PNP units and pursue all available leads to locate and arrest the remaining suspects.

Acting City Director PCOL RICKY C SUMALDE emphasized that the CCPO will continue pursuing all available leads while observing due process and established investigative procedures.

โ€œWe acted immediately, followed the evidence, and continued the pursuit until we were able to identify and arrest two of the suspects. Our investigation is not over. We will continue working to locate the remaining suspects and ensure that those responsible are held accountable through the proper legal process.โ€ PCOL SUMALDE said.

The investigation continues. CCPO remains committed to pursuing every lead, strengthening coordination among units, and ensuring that those responsible face the proper legal process.

The meeting focused on the preparations for the upcoming National Police Clearance Office Inauguration and Blessing, strengthening coordination and cooperation among the police and its stakeholders.

The activity focused on monitoring vehicular movement, enforcing traffic regulations, and ensuring that motorists comply with city ordinances. Several traffic violations were recorded and properly addressed during the operation.
