“𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗗𝗟𝗬 𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗠 𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗜𝗔𝗦, 𝗖𝗘𝗕𝗨”: 𝗗𝗔𝗥 𝗩𝗜𝗜 𝗔𝗥𝗕𝗢 𝗝𝗢𝗜𝗡𝗦 𝗧𝗔𝗕𝗢 𝗦𝗔 𝗞𝗔𝗣𝗜𝗧𝗢𝗟𝗬𝗢 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

In celebration of the 457th Founding Anniversary of Cebu Province, the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organization (ARBO) SANIPO Farmers Association Inc. is showcasing its fresh harvests and locally made products alongside other exhibitors from the Municipality of Asturias during the weeklong Tabo sa Kapitolyo 2026 – Agri-Fishery Trade Fair at Parking Lot 1 within the Cebu Provincial Capitol Grounds.

Among the association's featured products are steamed corn, locally milled rice, organic fertilizer, turmeric powder, extra spicy vinegar, fresh vegetables, seasonal fruits, and their best-selling bibingka.

The trade fair is open to the public from August 3 to 9, 2026, from 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. Visitors are encouraged to support local farmers and entrepreneurs by purchasing quality agricultural products while celebrating the rich culture and heritage of Cebu Province.

𝗥𝗔𝗗𝗜𝗢 𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗔𝗣| “YUTAWHAN: Mga Istorya sa Abunda nga Kausaban sa Kinabuhi sa mga Mag-uuma,” brought to you by the Department of Agrarian Reform Region VII, features Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organization 𝗔𝗴𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 (𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗣𝗘 𝗠𝗣𝗖) from Agape, Loboc, Bohol and Agrarian Reform Beneficiary 𝗥𝗼𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗼 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻 from Mahayag Norte, Catigbian, Bohol.

Both the AGAPE MPC and Rogelio embody the progress that transforms the fields into the nation’s nourishment, showing how agrarian reform changes lives from the farm to the community.

The second day of the National Mid-Year Formative Performance Assessment focused on the accomplishments and catch-up plans of the various sectors of the Department of Agrarian Reform Region VII on August 4, 2026.

The discussions covered the Land Tenure Security Program (LTSP), Agrarian Justice Delivery Program (AJDP), Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Development Sustainability Program (ARBDSP), and Support to Operations (STO), with central office executives providing commendations, comments, and recommendations to further enhance program implementation.

Led by Regional Director Melvin Castor V. Silvestre, the agency remains committed to achieving its second-semester targets to further advance the welfare of agrarian reform beneficiaries and strengthen the agency's overall performance.

Also present during the assessment were OIC-Regional Agrarian Reform Adjudicator Atty. Neili B. Resma, OIC-Assistant Regional Director for Administration and Operations Atty. Saripah D. Manonggiring, Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officers II Christian Louis G. Luna of Cebu, and Dr. Ronald I. Pumatong of Bohol.

Updates covering the Foreign-assisted and Special Projects Office (FASPO) were highlighted during the first day of the nationwide asynchronous assessment of the Department of Agrarian Reform Region VII (DAR VII), on August 3, 2026.

Among projects mentioned were the Pang-Agraryong Tulay para sa Bagong Bayanihan ng mga Magsasaka (PBBM Bridges) Project, Inclusive Partnership for Agrarian Reform Communities (IPARC) Project, and the Rehabilitization of Settlement Economies (RISE) Project, particularly as part of the region’s priorities entering the second semester of the calendar year.

Apart from these, scheduling for the upcoming regional-level PelikulAgraryo was also discussed.

To address land survey issues and ensure the timely achievement of regional targets, the leadership of the Department of Agrarian Reform Region VII (DAR VII), together with officials from its provincial offices, met with the survey-by-contract-awarded contractor for the region, JRB-RCS Joint Venture, on August 3, 2026.

The coordination meeting underscored the importance of strengthening collaboration between DAR VII and its land survey contractor to resolve existing concerns, meet the region's targets, and ensure the delivery of quality survey outputs.

Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Secretary Conrado M. Estrella III paid an official visit to the Municipality of San Miguel on July 28, 2026, as part of the agency’s ongoing engagements to support local development and agrarian communities across the locality.

San Miguel Mayor Ian Gil G. Mendez and municipal officials welcomed Secretary Estrella at the Municipal Hall, accompanied by DAR Assistant Secretary Atty. Virgilio L. Mendez, a native and former Mayor of San Miguel, alongside DAR Region VII Regional Director Melvin Castor V. Silvestre, Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer (PARPO) II Dr. Ronald I. Pumatong, and personnel from DAR Central Office and DARPO Bohol.

A central highlight of the visit was the formal turnover of the approved DAR Clearance covering the LGU-owned property in Barangay Tomoc, following the completion of full regulatory evaluation and processing. This clearance enables the local government to move forward with utilizing the property for essential public services and community development projects.

During the engagement, officials also reviewed field operations and discussed strategies to further accelerate agrarian reform delivery. Talks focused on securing land ownership for Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) while expanding support services and livelihood aid in San Miguel and across the province.
