Team Building Workshop on Leadership

Preparing and delivering the mini talks on specific topics, along with facilitating the games and guiding the processing after each, was indeed tiring. Yet the evaluation results proved deeply fulfilling. Every peso, hour, and ounce of effort invested in this activity was worthwhile. Watching their eyes light up and seeing the satisfaction on their faces during the talks, as well as observing how they carried out the games, brought me joy. My colleagues shared that they learned a great deal and truly enjoyed the experience. What excites me even more is the prospect of seeing them apply the lessons learned in their daily work.

A Community United in Gratitude

The management and staff of the Justice, Peace & Integrity of Creation – Integrated Development Center (JPIC-IDC, Inc.) and friends gathered not only as colleagues and friends, but as a community united in gratitude to honor the invaluable service of SR. DEBORA LINA BUDININGSIH, SSPS, fondly called Sister Debbie, as Center Manager of Balay Samaritano. Her dedication, integrity, and commitment will leave a lasting mark on our mission and on each of us. May this occasion remind us that true service inspires, uplifts, and endures.

Sister Debbie has instilled some disciplinary measures to ensure that our beneficiaries behave when they are in Balay Samaritano. As we are aware of, these beneficiaries are people in street situations and are not used to behaving and living within ethical standards. Sister Debbie with the support of Ms. Jovie has implemented policies, “Observance of Time Schedules,” “Clean as You Go,” to name a few. These might sound simple and petty but usually are difficult for our people to follow.

Sister Debbie was “patient, understanding, caring to the beneficiaries and to the staff of Balay Samaritano and, most of all, a friend to all of us,” shared one of the BS staff.
